FF7 Customising

Find a list of FF7 patches for tweaking the game on the Wiki here: Wiki Page

As the Wiki isn't open for general business, if you feel you have a (popular/stable) patch, editor, or app that deserves a mention, post it here and I'll update the Wiki page as soon as possible.  :-)

I just wanted to say that Highwind is at version 1.20 and not 1.04 ;)

Hi Christian: if you make a webpage to point to the latest version, it saves the Wiki from pointing to the binary (or rather, .rar) and thus saves us from updating the link every time you release a new version. If you could do that and PM me the link I'll point the Highwind entry to that instead.  :-)

Yes the link IS correct, but the page says version: 1.04 instead of 1.20, but the link links to the v1.20.

I meant if you create a webpage which in turn links to the latest version, we won't have to keep updating the Wiki every time you bring out a new version (since it currently links directly to the .rar file). Anyway, I updated the Wiki page to say/point to 1.20.

Thanks for updating, but you neednt have changed the link because the "Highwind.rar" is allways the latest release, so you can download it without changing the link. I just wanted to point out that the page was saying its in v1.04 in the version column.
Sorry if i didnt express myself correctly.
Would you mind changing the link back to the "Highwind.rar" archive?

Sorry for the troubles anyways, Chris

Hey

I got to say some-thing here

 Name                                                    Description                           Author
FF7 v1.02 Official Patch     Updates the game to version 1.02.     Square / Eidos

This is bugging me, if I'm wrong sorry but did some-one from the Qhimm forum make the v1.02 patch not  Square / Eidos

Edit

or was that just the Chocobo Patch

That was the Chocobo patch (Qhimm / Jedwin, as it says).

Wow, is my page the only place to get the 1.02 patch?

That's bizarre, sad, and funny all at once ^_^

You should make a note about "The XP patch" (and why it sucks =P) just so someone who comes across the page doesn't think you're missing such a  "vital game update" =P

I have it on the FFSF page (which is acting very slow at the moment due to new ISP troubles, grr...).

I've got a new Link to download Highwind, in future there will be a homepage thats available with this link, now it just redirects to the download.
But please change it anyways.
It's this link: http://christian59.ch.funpic.de/html/highwind.htm
EDIT: The new shorter subdomain for the page is http://www.christian.cn.ms/

Not sure if my "New Spell" patch necessarily qualifies for the wiki, but I'll post it anyway:

http://files.filefront.com/New+Spell+Patchrar/;8222718;;/fileinfo.html

BTW - this is the final version. I've had an initial version and a couple updated versions. Well, this one's final. To my knowledge, there's not a single problem with this version (previous versions had a lot of the description text in-battle running off into nothingness).

Also, I didn't see SceneReader on the wiki? A quick glance through all of the patches told me that it's not on there. It's good for decompressing and recreating scene files. I don't have an original link, all I have is a download to the literal executable to run the program (you need to save it, not open it, when you download it - if you want it as an archive, I can do that, too):

http://files.filefront.com/SceneReaderexe/;7822155;;/fileinfo.html

It might be a good idea to include dziugo's Highway and Snowboarding Mini-Game fix, because I'm sure most people have frame issues with those two mini-games. That patch also includes a fix for the battle swirl and allows you to modify the framerate of the battle swirl. I know that I've seen some people complain about difficulties concering the battle swirl:

http://forums.qhimm.com/index.php?topic=5124.0 (link to the topic)

EDIT:
Updated a link.

IMPORTANT:

For the "High Rez Cloud", you have the author as "Unknown"; It was made by Dreakon13, at least, according to the readme that comes with the mod.

[edit] Ok, it's fixed =)

Also, how about putting up a link for ff7w?  You know, to play the game in windowed mode?

http://www.ff7-universe.com/Downloads/FF7w.zip by Bulk_4me

Or is it too buggy to wanna put in the wiki?

It's cool someone noticed that.

I was going to mention something, but the version the Wiki links to was a .ffpatch, while mine was an executable to patch the files.  Seeing as I never made it into a .ffpatch, either someone made their own version of the same mod or they made it from my exe file.  If that's even possible...

I don't know which but should my name stay on there, could you just make it Dreakon?  Thanks! :P

You don't.
You run it through LGPtool's Apply Patch option.

http://forums.qhimm.com/index.php?topic=7022.  Just do a little searching.

As for the LuckyTifa patch, all you have to do is get her limit break and it will all be "Yeah".

The link I posted has your answers.  Please type sentences with correct spelling and punctuation; it is quite difficult to understand you.
