yep
my ATi Rage 128 never had hardware acceleration in win2k, not till i tried the new drivers from ati.
more stability plus a pass in the ff7 config allows for 3d accerlerated ff7.
BUT every thing is blue!!
all the 2d graphics are blue, and the 3d graphics and groud lighting is uneffected, a very rare effect, could also b usefull if u want to study something, ill post the link to shots soon.

Conclusion: Your drivers are fscked

But I guess you knew that already...

Probably not supporting the legacy (ie. older DirectX) texturing properly. Have you tried other games that use DirectX5 (since that's the interface that FF7 uses).

LOL! Sorry about your problem but that is kinda funky! You tryed completely uninstalling all display driver before installing the new ones?

ill just play ff7 in win98
