If I ever encountered someone wearing an "islam is evil" t-shirt walking down the street, I'd legit punch them square in their prejudice face. If they have the right to piss me off, why shouldn't I have the right to sock 'em one?

not like you're a spambot or anything. this *is* the completely unrelated section... so long as you're not trolling, spamming, doing anything illegal or causing trouble I don't see why anyone would get on your case.

anywho, cool website. Now all you need to do is post some OC on it.

Food for thought: you can edit the EXE file to change around the default character names.

Hi guys. :) Very much interested in getting this mod, to breathe some much-needed life into this game I've played over and over countless times. I just have one question: Is it modular? What I mean is, does it give options if you don't want to install certain mods? It will take me a while to download, so I just want to make sure before I do.

I poke my head into these forums once or twice every few months and it never ceases to amaze me how active it remains and how many dedicated modders continue to put out quality work like this. Seriously, it's a wonderful thing you all do to keep this game looking fresh and exciting, even to someone who's been playing and replaying it since the 90's. :) It makes me want to contribute too. I really wish I could find the time.
No...not yet anyways.

Try exploring the install CD and running setup.exe

well apparently you're missing one of the files for the highwind's model.

Backup your saves and re-install.

if you're using Aali's driver, rip the original opening.avi off disc and use that.

If not, then you should get Aali's driver.

lossless audio... I've found that the quality of speakers has a much greater effect on audible sound quality than the actual encoding algorithm used, when adjusted to today's standards, at least. a 128k mp3 or m4a on some quality BOSE speakers sounds infinitely better than any lossless audio files can on my laptops speakers, or the speakers built into my TV, for that matter.

moreover... Apple's file formats = FAIL. I'm not too familiar with the security features, but I've had too many people complain to me about how their music libraries self-destruct when iTunes suspects that there's copyright infringement afoot.

I'm not surprised that somebody had already thought to make a triple barrel gun. I wouldn't be surprised if someone were to go even further than that...

Hoooo sh*t... Banned by Qhimm himself?? that's sr-rs business.

I wouldn't mind having him come back to the forums, there have been worse offenders than him in the past, and I mean hell, we let Seif back in, so why the hell not?

Not to mention all the bans were lifted when Ammo/Jari left, so he's probably technically not banned anymore... if his account still exists...

EDIT: Welcome to the forums, btw! I hope you have an enjoyable/productive stint here!

Obviously I'm a newbie here, so please be gentle to me and my non-existent post-count.

I bought the cardboard-triangle-abomination that contained FF7 for pc like 11 years ago.  My pc disks are now scratched beyond repair.  is there a technical difference in using a cd-r backup i have of my disks?  I did it way back before i even knew what an image file was.

in lieu of that, does anyone know of a trading-post or the like where i might find the game for cheaper than ebay/amazon?  I'm looking for like 30 bucks-ish.

I also found a version on a UK website, but I don't know how/if at all that will affect modding.

Any ideas?
If you've made backups of your discs, you should be able to use those to run the game just fine. I recommend making ISO's out of your backup discs by mounting them with a program like Daemon Tools since CD's tend to get old and not work so well. There's no technical difference between using the actual discs and using backups.

Also to answer your last question, so far, I haven't heard of any cases of having the UK version getting in the way of modding, although that's not to say that it wouldn't

Little Big Planet is a delightful non-violent game. You should check it out.

[just noticed 2-page trollbait thread]

Don't all threads like this just end on a mutual agreement that more recent FF games suck? (i.e. everything after X)

I am sorry if I offend anyone by saying FFVI sucks...that is all.
I liked it. It certainly wasn't as captivating as some of the others, and the game mechanics had some serious problems, but I still enjoyed it enough to almost beat it before tiring of it.

It greatly saddens me that the most neutral news source in the country is The Colbert Report, but liberal media is dishonest and conservative media is dishonest and retarded, so it really is the best choice.

A friend of mine once phrased it best to me... All media is biased, to get a clear understanding of the facts, you want to be in a situation where the bias is obvious and transparent.

(Implying that all politicians are evil.)
QFT. I don't particularly approve of the use of the term "evil" in any context besides fantasy fiction novels, but I've found that being involved in politics (or any area in which people have some sort of power over others) tends to invite corruption.

happy birthday! enjoy your.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o6TUhx2wX0M

I like how the music doesn't start until a minute in.

As for LTRs... that's how I used to feel, but I just got out of a 4 year one...and not mutually... kinda put off to it now, but I've still got plenty of youth left ;)

[derailing] What's your favorite drink? My mixed drink of choice is gin 'n' tonic, but really nothing beats a nice cold beer Hoegaarden IMHO.

Ha! He visits on every prime numbered day since he started the forums.

Happy Birthday! How old are you turning?

Get outside, man, live it up. Go to a bar and milk the fact that it's your birthday to pick up chicks.

too bad 1 & 2 only apply during raids... Even so, 4chan = not funny

2. Tell /b/

3. ? ? ? ?

4. PROFIT!

this.

Hoping for anything good to come out of politics is like hoping for Apple to not rip you off with their next product. [waits for macfag trollbait]

or some such other nonsense. Obama's doing as poorly as any president in history ever has. The best presidents are the ones who take office during progressive or peaceful times, for them to claim that they were the sole cause of those times is arrogant. The president doesn't have enough power to make or break the times... that's what makes democracy so great! If this were a monarchy or a dictatorship, I'd agree that Emperor/King/Hitler was doing a shitty job, but as it stands, you can't blame Obama alone...

...it's the whole f*cking political system's fault. But there's nothing anyone can do (humanely) to change that, so people should stop bitching and start thinking about how they can do their respective part to help the situation.

Anyone else besides me think that most point-n-click MMORPGs are kind of dry?

I'm liking the new breed of Korean Action MMORPG's that's starting to arise. Games like Dungeon Fighter, Blade and Soul, Divine Souls, and other games that actually involve cognitive controls and hit detection, as opposed to turn-based macro-spamming.

MGS1 was gold
MGS2 was fun
MGS3 was epic
MGS4 was the only one of the series that I bought, then lost interest in and still haven't beaten yet.

...

So, I watched MGS4 recently, and I felt like ranting about it.
I lol'd.
