Aaaand here is the final result!

Unfortunatly, I forgot how to mod ff7, so it'll take just a bit more time to get a ff7 compatible version.

Not that it will be noticeable but some facial hair would be quite appealing on CID...

Well, I'm not satisfied with the normal maps, but I started making the model usable in ff7, making it look good as separate parts you know. Maybe another week of 2, maybe tonight if I feel productive. Who knows :)

Don't be asking about a release guys.

The answer should always be "When it's ready"

As of now we have no way of importing anything other than the regular tex files. Any detail you want to see on the model in Kimera would have to be added to the texture. You can try the baked lighting effects in Kimera, but I think they tend to make everything too dark. That would be a good option if the level of lighting could be controlled. I think Cid looks great. Take your time and get it right so you're happy with it. Looking forward to checking it out.

This looks great! Are you sure you want to hand this off? You're actually past the hard part now.

I do see two issues. The left (his right) eye is having an issue. It's missing. I can fix it by flipping the normals but then the eye doesn't sit the same as the other. I think I'm also flipping the eye lashes. The lower chest piece is having the same issue but that was easier to fix. If you can help me with the eye I could import the model into Kimera and send it back to you when it's done. Are you using Blender? If you have a saved blend file without these issues I could just use that.

Inside the eye:

Sounds good, just send me a pm when you're ready no hurry. You already finished all the hard stuff so shouldn't take long at all.

Hey wanted to give you guys a quick preview of Cid so you know the project hasn't been forgotten. The model looks great in the game. Rayved has been going over it and mentioned updating a few things so I'm waiting to hear back.

Lovely! Seems like a HD Reunion is coming... ;)

I have finished a head mesh for Sephiroth:

It took me many times of testing's, rescaling's and converting's (and 57 deaths of Aerith later :'()
He looks fine in game. But he would look probably better with a true texture. So if someone want to give it a try, here is the blend file of the head:

The pupils of Cid doesn't seem to be focused on a spot. However he looks better as I expect it.

The Sephiroth mesh looks great. Quite a few members have shown they're good at custom textures so I'm sure someone will come up with something cool for this.

The uv mapping will need adjusting though. With some fixing this could turn out really well.

Thanks I'm pretty happy with how Cid came out. The only thing I changed on the model though was for cutting and filling holes, so everything you see is how I got the original model. Rayved mentioned he wanted to update a few things so that maybe something he's adjusting.

Well the UV map must be build before. I had removed the seams, which I had needed to make a UV map for the eyes. It would be really cool if some one would try to texture this, because...

Spoiler: show
... Cid is ready, too.  :-D

???Hmm... spoiler doesn't work. Now the surprise is gone...  :'(

I think it would be cool if someone textured Cid with magochocobo's texture that he posted on the first page. I'm playing with it a bit myself but textures and uv mapping isn't my strong suit, I'll need more practice.

Hi guys, its a wonderful face model!!
I working in a texture for cid, its no complete now, maybe it can be useful
look:

and here the texture over the weeemus model:

Good luck with the project!!!
