Completely Unrelated / KOTOR II (PC)
« on: 2006-05-19 17:49:48 »Been keeping an eye on it for a while... Seems like forever, really. They still aren't done with it.
Looks like huge improvements...if they ever finish it.

The best time to buy DVD movies is during the first week of release (Well for us in the States it is anyway, from 'Best Buy'). The reason? Because, 'Best Buy' competes with Online prices during that first week.
Anyway, happy hunting.
I guess this is it?

Patch Instructions: [This message has been edited by Threesixty (edited August 02, 2001).]
First make a CD-Image using CDRWIN (using the RAW-Option):
Start CDRWIN.
In the CDRWIN - CDROM Recording Tools window click Extract Disc/Tracks/Sectors to Image File.
Enter the Image Filename:
- for example: C:TEMPIMAGE.BIN
Leave all other settings Default - make sure the RAW option is selected!
When ready click START to create the CD-Image file on harddisk.
This will create the CD-Image file (C:TEMPIMAGE.BIN) and the CD-Image Cuesheet (C:TEMPIMAGE.CUE).
Extract the Patch Archive to the path containing the CD-Image file.
Open a DOS-Box/MS-DOS Prompt and change directory to the path containing the CD-Image file (and patch).
Patch the CD-Image file (IMAGE.BIN) by executing either:
For the PPF Releases: Use the PPF Patch Engine
For the P4U Releases: Use the PAL4U Patcher
For the older Paradox (PDX) Releases execute:
For most Respect (RSP) Releases execute: RSPatch
Burn the CD-Image onto a CD-R:
In the CDRWIN - CDROM Recording Tools window click Record.
Click Load Cuesheet and select the CD-Image Cuesheet (C:TEMPIMAGE.CUE).
Click Start Recording.
When ready: Play the "Patched" Game!
NOTE: For now only CDRWIN can be used to patch PSX games. A free Demo version which writes at 1x speed is available at Goldenhawk.com.
Q: What are your strategies for the packaged and online software market in Asia?
A: (Hiramatsu) The PlayStation software market in Asia is concentrated on pirate software, and we've been fighting a tough battle against piracy along with Sony Computer Entertainment. We have been releasing software through SCE, but the sales levels have been rather small. The PlayStation 2 has not gone on sale outside of Japan yet, either.
We have also released Final Fantasy VII and VIII for the PC, each of which has sold in the tens of thousands in Taiwan and Korea. That is a much stronger market to participate in, so we are still cautiously proceeding with packaged software.
(executive director Hideaki Morishita) "Online games are far more impervious to piracy, since server access fees can be collected even if the client software is copied... As we discussed during the three-company agreement, we are looking at the Asian and American online market as a whole, so we would like to actively explore the Asian market in the future."
I don't know what it really means....but I think it means that PC versions are going to be a high option for Square.

And I really don't think that 'Kindom Hearts' is going to cut it in the States.....Donald Duck meets FF? I doubt many people will buy it.
From my experence Null's sounds real bad in Crono. The core sound is the best sounding one for my computer with that game. But Pete's plugin doesn't hang on those certain notes, and plays the movies about the same as the core, but the footfalls sound terrible. Anyway....guess it's a keeper, but it still needs to be improved.

Download the first movie...Excaliber.
it's 10 megs.....you may need that DivX thing to view it though.
It looks too advanced to do...at least for me...but if you don't mind downloading a 150meg program. I guess you can fix your DirectX8.0a into b.
I guess this would be considered an Alpha DirectX patch.
