Hi there, i'm working on a graphical mod for this game which AI upscales its prerendered backgrounds.

I managed to convert SYJ format to JPEG or PNG, but i don't know how to convert it back to SYJ, do you know any program capable of doing it?

I don't know? What have you tried to get it to work that hasn't?

Problem is that i can select no shaders except for those listed by default.
Also, 2.0 doesn't allow me to set a rendering resolution higher than my monitor one, 1.54 allowed that too.
Also, i don't understand why 2.0 needs to overwrite ff7.exe restoring it to default version for each game launch.

I dont know if there is a way to add your own custom ones and have the game use them automatically.
7th heaven 1.54 can do it... why 2.0 can't?

Correct me if i'm wrong, but the offsets i'm looking for aren't listed in Esui or Hext Documentation, i just can't find them (and i found many of them that weren't listed, all by myself).

Hi there, i'm working on this project, i hope you can help. On December 2019 an user from vg-resource wrote me two little tools to do this, one to decompress the android .obb archive, and the other to extract texts (just dialogues, nothing else) from the resulting .dat files in .po format. Problem is that he refused to write the reimporting tool, without reasons, so i got screwed (by that time i was already at something like 70% of dialogues completion).

Anyway, if you can help to achieve this goal, well... i'd be joyful. Let me know.

Same problem here with Hand Indicator and Exit/Ladder icons glitchy, preserving aspect ratio doesn't solve it.
I'm using 7th heaven 1.54 with latest GameConverter and Reunion r03e.

Also, i prefer the "centered text descriptions" while on menu, and how the materia abilities are listed, much more harmonious.

Custom EXEs are no longer used or supported in 7H 2.0. If you're still using 7H 1.x, that's also no longer supported. 7H 2.0 should be used with the stock EXE and ESUI (Enhanced Stock UI) as your menu overhaul mod.

I'm sorry but i like r03e better, especially in battle, so i'll keep using it with 7th heaven 1.54.
So, where to edit the custom exe to make that name appear, anybody got a clue?

    Anyway, this tool extracts basically every text string of the game, except for "Level" on the saveslot and the chocobo prizes right before racing starts, if i'm wrong prove it telling me the locations.

    That's what I'm trying to do, but none of the changes I make to it using touphscript show up in-game after I encode it. That's why I asked. I have Baecause and the MO installed, if that makes a difference. The most recent versions.

    if you're loading The Reunion via 7th heaven via injection method, then your text changes won't be showed, you have to disable beacause first.

    touphscript changes ALL text. It's all in there. Every last text.  I helped design it.

    You can find memory addresses by looking at The Reunion Database.

    Well i don't know what to say, i searched in all the dumped text and nothing (and that's the first time i can't find a text string), Reunion Database isn't helping either. The only thing i'm sure is that this is normal text, not textures or something, yet i can't find it in any txt file produced by TS. If you manage to understand this let me know, it's only the prizes string on the chocobo stats screen, right before starting a race.

    That will be far easier with R06 - which is designed to aid people in translating to other langs.  I suggest you don't even try messing with that nonsense in earlier versions. It's too much hassle.

    What if i remove it completely to get status menus directly with the strings i wrote with Touph script? Would that be a problem?

    Does anybody know how to edit the "04-TransStatusShort.txt" hexes inside Reunion r03e? Specifically, i'd want to translate the english words in italian.

    Hi, I can't seem to get any changes to ff7.exe and scene.bin that I make with ts to show up in-game. Am I missing something?

    check if those files are "read-only" from their properties.

    I'd say wait until R06... as usual. And use that to translate with along with ts.

    Your problem there is changing text ts can access but that reunion /7h etc is also writing to memory. Probably.

    The text def can be changed in default exe with ts.

    Ok but will r06 have menu overhaul like r03e, or, at least, a font overhaul? I was told not, and i really can't play ff7 with that ugly as hell font..

    Is your game not in English?

    I considered this possibility but no, language has nothing to do about it, even because i certainly don't change the characters' original names.
    Probably is 7H converter related, 'cause ff7_ss_safer.exe isn't showing this particular problem despite being able to overhaul menus (i can't of course use that exe, it suffers many other problems).
