I need help win 7 and win 10

Ok.. before I get into this I modded the manual way before I found 7th heaven. I have followed the instructions to the best of my knowledge 3x I'm sure its something really simply stupid I did that causing it not to work. Windows 10 using Tom's installer which only works to the default install directory or it brakes thus not allowing me to mod the game in windows 10 I don't even know if it would even run right. So I went back to win 7 which I did this all 4 years ago was awesome. but pc died and I lost everything for ff7. I been fighting with this all week. I own the 1998 disc version with the green pics not the black label ones. I get it installed.. pretty sure it runs no issues that way I then follow the steps get 7th heaven up set the directories I've tried many different ones to no avail. I get the mods downloaded and activated in the list order on the site. I get a funny beep noise when I click launch and black screen till the credits intro then I go new game and at first it wouldn't open the movie so I looked at the error found the movie file (I manually downloaded them all) put it there then that played nicely but it was the only one for the begining of the game that played. I'd like to get the other intro movies working too as well as I have no music sound effects are there graphics look ok but without everything going like it should I get an error window that I can't read two options on it that I can see from my start bar preveiw but if I try to see I exit that and the game crashes. Again I am deeply sorry if I listed this issue and its already been ansrewed elsewhere in the forum. But great job from what I've seen so far. I can't wait to play this on my 42" oh another note using xpadder to map buttons to my ps3 controller for the game doesn't seem to work for abit the game wouldn't even run just sit at a blank screen no music nothing. but Yeah I really don't wanna shell out on steam at 16 bucks to buy this for a 5th time in my life lol.
I just don't know whats wrong. Anyone may help me as soon noone will be able to find these things cause of remakes will take over google searches. only those that know these relics of the past will know the exact words to google with anyways thanks for taking the time to read my problem I'll do whatever it takes minus a reinstall of windows I just can't do that as I just installed this windows last month but I filled it with games. Thanks again any help I will be grateful for.
And my system is a dual boot win 10 win 7 965 cpu and a gtx 970 with 8 gb ram system more then able to do this I know it!

EDIT:ok I'm even more confused trying to do this with the steam version but I'm going to bed I will post my results of my win 7 steam tryout tomorrow

Which finally I think worked. I was following the red load order think that's what I did wrong.

ok I am attaching my crash menu overhaul just doesnt want to work for me and the enhanced movies are better but not the fix I had last time witch a voiced cloud no idea what I do to get that back.

and sadly I don't know how to attach those files related to the crash into my message
but I'll do what I can..


if anyone has a skype you can reach me on that maybe even team veiwer and see what I'm doing wrong.

because I see the crash.dmp file, I see the crash.ff7 file. but I have no idea how to even attach a pic of the error message in this post. I've been at this all week. I really don't know what more I can do.

Lol for starters you could make sentences meaningful and put a coma or a full stop once in a while.

 You text looks like one long jibberish, and im getting nausea just reading it, it will be hell for admins to read it and make heads or tails out of it and they are the ones that will help you. So you could at least make it easy on them.

Please edit the text and separate sentences into short ones. Number steps you do and put some space between parts of text so it can be read clearly.

I just gave you an example. Good luck in solving the problem!

Ok so far good news! As long as I don't enable "because mod"
It's seems to run. But I trying to figure out the setting for the old film like effect on the intro movie show the old compared to the new. I tried all 4 movie settings but no luck.

starting at 4:12 I had this movie playing in my first attempt to mod but failed once the train stopped. I'd like those fmvs in my mod but I don't recall where I downloaded them from.

Another problem I have is menu overhaul, I can't seem to get the game to stop crashing if I enabled it.

Finally my other problem which is minor I can't seem to get the game started if I have my controller running.
I'll try with my corded one one but steam won't see it for skyrim so I mostly use a wireless legit (because 3rd party doesnt work with everything) sony ps3 gamepad.

But it is running I really wanna go at it but I gotta fix these 3 things first

I don't need crash.dmp. APP.log and your Profile Details (bottom-right corner in 7H) are more helpful.

That beginning FMV is from the PS4 tech demo I believe. It's not included in the 7H Catalog though.

Menu Overhaul requires the ff7_mo.exe to be set in Workshop -> Settings -> FF7 Exe. If you enable Beacause as well, then set it to use ff7_bc.exe. Not using these .exe shouldn't result in a crash though. It should just result in misaligned font/windows.

Ok thanks for the quick reply. And is this doable on my ps3 controller using xpadder? Or  is there any sort of controller support with the mod?

EDIT: ok patch 1.02 had a virus messed up my computer for awhile. Xpadder and ps3 gamepad work fine now and after comparing the 2 intro opening videos I preferred the one in 7th heaven. Thanks for the help people gave me here I finally got it working in windows 7 from the steam version now I can play this and stream it Until Remake I'll be able to do this again.
