I tried my hand on it as well. Nowhere as good as yours though :P

Also I don't know if I am accurate or not but based on this picture the tube on the top of the picture looks like it has another one extruding outwards and upwards again. Your reference picture begs to differ though... What do you think???

I think that after it is textured it will not be that visible. I think it's looking great right now. If it looks unnatural after texturing though just try and move vertices here and there and I think you should be fine.

I've been working on the Vincent model for some time. Blender is being a bit difficult and I'm trying to experiment a bit with 3ds max and maya so bare with me. Hopefully in a months time I will be done with fully modelling it and then I'll be moving on to texturing, in which I would appreciate any help given. :P

Something else I noticed is that the thing next to the plant on the left of the stairs is actually a surfing board. Right now it looks more like a cone than a surfing board...

Long time no see after my last update on this project. I have scrapped the first model I had started working on. Thought I should show some updates on what I've been working on. Hope you guys like it.



Comments on how it looks like would be more than welcome. Always bare in mind that I am nowhere near where every other modeler here is. :P

I have already done that as it was once instructed to a tutorial that you released. My question though is should I create it part by part? For example first the torso, then the hands etc or just create it over the whole model and worry about how it will move later on?

Hi there people. Could someone tell me what would be preferable to create models for Final Fantasy 7. Will it be easier starting from the rigging parts and the skeleton or create the whole model and then try rigging it? I am a little bit confused on this and if you can explain to me the situation it will be easier for me to move on with helping out in the forum here. :)

Thanks for the suggestion Leonhart7413 but since I'm still not one of the good modelers out there I want to take it kind of slow so I am creating a Vivi on a different new style different than the original. Start from simpler stuff and then go to more complicated. I'll keep in mind your suggestion and may make the original Vivi model at some point but for now I'm just playing around. I am aware that this project may be mostly disappointing but you have to start from somewhere :P

Anyways, updates on the model  

Did minor fixes on the hands, gloves, legs clothing. Probably will finish it soon and move on to the Vincent project so that the real work will start :)

Decided to start it from scatch. Did many things completely wrong. Here's what i've ended up with. Still need to do a lot of work but I'm gettign there.

I've been super busy with my exams for Uni this year. During summer i'm going to start re-doing this project. I have gained some new skills through this year for animation so i'm going to create something much better than my first attempts to it. So be patient. No need to keep re-posting.

haha. I hope i'll be able to make till the world model. I'll first start with the battle models even though it will be hell for me. I'm quite new to modeling/texturing. I want to see how will it turn out with the skeleton of the model. A lot of people tried to mod vincent but they had difficulties. Cross your fingers for me and thanks for all the help  :-D  :-D i will push it till you can't flush it out anymore Aali :P

Thanks for the tip. This will make it much easier for me to work on my project. :) Is that limit the same for his limit breaks as well? Since his limit breaks makes him change into monsters should i play around 5-6000 tri's for them as well? or Is the limit lower than that?
