I din't really use any book.. Only book I've read is about network programming for multiplayer games. There is lots of OpenGL/DX Resources flowing on internet.. Most of them are outdated tho. Many suggest Orange Book for learning modern OGL and it's shaders.

For math's you should learn matrixes and quaternions. I suggest starting with some matrix library tho so you get the hang of it.

Seitokai no Ichizon

I also take my time and announce that I don't watch TV, because it's all crap.

The real top list would have Touhou characters at the top.

But that's how bad the font rendering is. It even messes up images; that doesn't even make sense, but somehow it happens.

Sounds like driver issue. Oh the wonderful world of Linux drivers. Sadly not everything is perfect. People are dying and intel/ati(Open drivers are improving the situation, right!?) users fonts are not rendering correctly :P

20/20

i got a 10/20 , the same as random selection.

Typical Linux font rendering.

Yeah especially when they are images with a font name on image path to avoid rendering the text with wrong fonts.

I'll just leave this here
It's in my personal rating order. However expect lots of Loli/Ecchi/Otaku anime.

Also I agree with Kudistos Megistos, Bible Black is good, haven't watched the Hentai tho. But played the eroge.
I like their works Discipline more tho.

I want new games that don't suck, old games are for shedding tears of nostalgia. New games should have this same value for future.

General Discussion / Re: FF7 Map Analysis & Prerenders

A lurker, posting here saying thanks for these interesting articles and discussions. Certainly enjoyed them.
Also makes me sad that pre-rendered backgrounds is not so favored technology nowadays, all these backgrounds just are so beautiful.

Well seeing how companies almost never loves their fans, you can only guess what happens.

They use usually stupid reasons like protecting their "IMAGE" or "GOOD", unless they make profit out it, I don't see anything wrong with fan works.
(In my case I wouldn't even mind if people made profit out of their fan games derived from my imaginary projects)

The fan project itself? Sadly does not seem good as Resurrection, haven't checked much yet, but it seems quite bad from reading the comments.
Also this is a rom hack? Probably not getting sued then, since Rom hacks(excluding pokemon hacks, Touhoumon<3) are usually bad enough to not get noticed.

It's running on a brand new engine. Bethesda's own, actually. Funny, they haven't made their own engine since Xngine way back in the 90s - which they used to power Daggerfall (mostly what it's known for), Battlespire, Redguard, and the Terminator games. I miss those terminator games, they had drivable vehicles that worked as well as the ones in games today.

That's good and bad thing as well. I never liked the engine they used for Oblivion and Fallout 3/New Vegas anyways <_<
Bad thing is that it may take some time to work under wine perhaps. We'll see.

The Skyrim looks interesting at least, I like how they used the Morrowind's theme on their trailer, and I really hope there is good story this time. I've never really liked any Elder scrolls, and get bored quite fast. However this sparked new interest in me.

I don't really play anything either(excluding some arcade/indie/doujin games) nowadays so that could also be cause, or games are just getting boring. Who knows?

40
Hmmm, so thats why I'm so damn smart.

How would you rate these guys:
*Ugh, I quoted image.. Late edit*

I think I fell for the guy on second row left.

im just hoping the skyrim will work under wine, since idk if by then i will have a ps3 , and the pc versions are almost always better. and if you count the mods they are way better.

Highly possible, unless they changed their core engine. Every Elder scrolls/Fallout game so far have been working just fine after few days of their release, or out of the box.

There's also Touhouvania 1, (This is the sequel) which was translated to English by the creators themselves on patch 1.03.

43
@ Cloudef , is the plot good ?  and do u know when will it release ?

There's still not english patch, so I don't fully understand the plot nor have looked into it yet. But to fully understand it anyways, you'll probably need some common Touhou knowledge. The game was released on latest Comitek (C79). It's linear game unlike many Castlevania, and it's gameplay has bit rough edges, but for a Doujin/Indie game it's really good one.

44
Touhouvania, yes really great doujin game. And has famous voice actors too.

45
Arch Linux, is best Distro/OS ever designed for any serious computer user. Heck I would use it even for Server environment.

46
Sounds nice, been playing LostWings difficulty patch and been happy with it.

I've used gDebugger for my project. It's like any other trial version. Gives you limited functionality (You can do this only once plapla)
But yeah, I only used it to check out if I were doing anything weird with my OpenGL pipeline. For everything else there is Valgrind, gdb and callgrind.

Graphical / Re: [WIP] APZ's New Canon Cloud
« on: 2010-11-24 14:05:20 »
Seriously, how do people learn to UVW map and texture :P I can model pretty well objects that are not humanoid (I've done few human characters but they're not that good, bad poly flow and heads always tend to suck)

Anyways, I recently modeled the swords Shelke uses in Dirge Of Cerberus, I'm quite happy with the model. But when it comes to uvw mapping or texturing, I'll never seem to get it right. Guess I just need to stay in programming.

The custom driver already supports normal maps. And specular maps.

There we go <_<
Aali, whats next? Ambient Occlusion?

Those CD-i Zelda games weren't so bad that everyone seems to state, I actually finished them and had fun doing so <_<
