No smoking in the Kingdom Hearts series. Or in the Monster Hunter games, to my knowledge.

Onimusha: Warlords. I had to preform thread necromancy just to say it. No smoking at all.

True, but where do all the problems come from? If everyone wanted to mod or to get mods we should all be fine. Why then are there so many problems?

Probably because of people who are too involved with their online lives. Anyways, at the risk of being labeled a troll, I'm done here.

EDIT: Obesebear has the right idea "Anyways, I suppose the best action to take is to just keep doing what we do and not worry about this too much."

Internet drama... lolololololol

If you don't have anything constructive to say please refrain from posting. To some of us he was (still is) a friend and this is a big deal.

I'm sorry. I was under the impression that this was a game modding forum. But apparently people can't just shut up and be content with what this is supposed to be, can they? If nobody replied to the trolls, this kind of thing wouldn't happen. I do remember Jari trolling a lot shortly before he was an admin. I've never cared for him, he just antagonized the trolls. Personally, I think we'll be fine if someone else fills this gap.

In any case, I find it hilarious that people can get so worked up about these things on a video game forum. It's just funny and a little sad.

If I were a side character, I would be Enuo from FFV. Creator and Master of the void ftw.

7
I still want to have a remake, even though I still play the original on my PC, PSP, and PS1...

You should use the models from the reconstruction project for the sprites. Also, it looks good anyways! I  hope you get to finish it. About the "arcade" style conflicting with missions, maybe you could work in a system of "Level-choosing" for missions and you can only unlock certain ones later on or when a certain one gets completed... I don't know... keep trying though.

From what I've played so far it is bad@$$. You rule!

A lot of spin offs are being made of ff7 right now and one that I always wanted to see was a FF Tactics-style FF7 game. I was wondering if anyone else would be exited about this concept as well.

Gjoerulv, when you mentioned that your patch modifies the battle.lgp and the field.lgp do you mean that it is impossible to use the NPC reconstruction patch without doing so under very weird circumstances? and also, will apz freak's high res buster sword patch work? thanks, and hope you get it finished soon.

no offense, but why are you making a difficulty mod when Gjoerulv is already making a really good one?

Are you serious? You looked around? Are you sure?

If you could could make it run like ff7 music, outside the actual game, where it just intercepts, say, the level data and uses that to select what file to use, it should be semi-possible. Not realistic, but possible.

We are not allowed to post modified lgp files or anything else that would infringe square's copyright.

As for the lgp tools problem, try downloading the newest version, as the old one didnt work as good. If a file is missing, use a new lgp file and modify it again. I've never heard of that happening other than the file got removed on accident.

Seems to me that everyone on this thread is pretty retarded except myself, obesebear and *:.Griever.:*. You all seem to be arguing  for the sake of arguing and are only not stopping because you don't want to lose, even though you realize the stupidity yourselves.

And for the love of god, you are all flaming each other, so quit with the "he started it" sh*t.

General Discussion / Re: Favourite FF game in the series?
« on: 2008-05-07 00:16:11 »
I personally like FFVII the best. I believe that the compilation hasn't hurt it in any way other than in the minds of people who don't understand the story or haven't played them. Just the fact that it was probably the most revolutionary game ever should be a factor, but it was also the most in depth game up to that point, and with the compilation, it still is.

FFVIII was mt second choice, because if it weren't for Ultimecia, it would have been a lot better. And even then if you believe the theory that Squall is Grevier and Rinoa is Ultimecia it still makes sense and rocks.

FFX is a close third, just because although the story and music are awesome, I feel that it used a lot of new ideas that I personally don't like as much.

if you use the lgp tools to open the menu lgp, you can just right click on the picture you want to replace and choose a file from your computer. then, simply close the lgp tools and it will be in the game.

Archive / Re: Problem with my custom models
« on: 2008-04-19 01:37:42 »
Thanks. I'll try to look them over again, but I've already adjusted them to the skeleton and set the animations up... its only one model that messes up the others. It doesn't act like that though... I might just scrap that one.

Edit: I finally figured out what it was. Viashino was right, one of my models' feet and legs were partially off the skeleton. It still acts funny, but it doesn't do it as often or as bad.

Archive / Problem with my custom models
« on: 2008-04-18 04:12:47 »
I have been hanging around these forums for awhile, but only recently became a member. I have been making some models for use by my friends and myself just to mess around.

The problem is, now that I have about five models perfectly the way I want them, they get jumbled up in the field. In battle they look great and even when they are moving in the field they look how they are supposed to. But if they're just standing there, their body parts get all jumbled up and they float in the air.

Does anyone else have this problem? And if so, how have you dealt with it?
