FF7's menus

I'm not sure if this is just me but, when comparing the in game menus of FF7PC to FF7psx, the psx's versions are a
lot
faster/smoother/visually pleasing. Was this a true change in the port to PC? If so, is it possible to speed up the PC menus?

On my old 400 mhz Laptop, I remember the menus looking kinda slow and "skippy." Work great now though on this compu.

Ano..... The PC version looks much better if you have hardware acceleration on, as it uses hi-res fonts.
If you want to see for sure, play the PSX version on your PC using ePSXe.

I ran ff7 on a p 120 with a voodoo 1 and the menus were not to bad. However, on that computer, I was used to stuff running slow (I was also raytracing with povray) so it could have been my imagination. On my current computer FF7 doesn't work at all
so I can't test it.

The PSX and PC menus were diffrent.
The PSX, I think used 16x16 while the PC usese 32x32
There are two diffrent menus and avatar sizes in the lgps. They are both modified PSX versions.
(The PC version uses TEX files. I think they are the same as the TIMs for PSX, i.e. raw rgb info that gets mapped to the PSX's GPU memory with a small header)

I don't know. Maybe it is just me, but for example when comparing the slot menu (ex. Tifa's limit break), the PSX version seems to be smoother than the PC version. I doubt it is my system, why would a Radeon 8500 lower peformance o__O

Try under Dreamcast (JK... well what happen to Bleemcast?!?)
For PSX Emu you have to have a decent computer plus nice 3D card!!!
Therefore synt4x, why don't you upgrade your compu???
