Sorry for the major thread revival.

Well, anyway, got bored and decided to mess around with some old models, and although it's nowhere near finished, nor up to the standards of other models around right now, I found SOLDIER, and decided to mess around a little:

Bear in mind that I am in fact still learning to model, and I believe that this is actually the first human character I've ever modelled to this extent.

I'm still not great at faces. I have a face and a helmet, but neither are great. They arent in my current model setup, but heres a picture to show you what happened last time I tried.

...oh, and boots. I have those too. again, will probably re-do those.

Tips and criticism would be very much appreciated.

...oh, and in case you hadn't noticed, no textures yet, only preset diffuse colours (i.e vertex colours).
Inspiration and references from original FF7 model, Crisis Core model and APZ' Cloud Model.

the head is actually pretty good, ye could use it just fine.

As to yer body, it looks good, cept the arms are a bit thick, thin them down towards the wrists

Taken aboard! Thanks  :-D

Oh, and I can't really use the head. Although it appears good, I did a extremely bad job finishing it. Theres a part of the head at the back behind the helmet doing nothing, and it's very badly modelled. Normally, I'd just delete it, but I can't get to it anymore because the helmet's in the way. I really don't know what I did. Then there's the horrible welding of the helmet to the head and so forth - I think i just gave up in the end. Perhaps I could salvage the front though...

Not really, I pretty much lost this model when my harddrive got corrupted anyway.
Besides, It's not in the style Team Avalanche is going for - Plus, there are better people than me to model things like this.
