Sorry to post in an old topic but I believe this one should be sticky or whatever.  As we test more mods they should be put up and why they don't work incase anyone wants to work on trying to make it work.

I have made several post about this before and since I was probably posting in the wrong spot and no one giving any info I decided to try here.  So as I stated before I was trying to make new limits for Sephiroth since I got tired of seeing him all deformed when using Cloud's.  I got the text to show up and everything but the animations and everything are all screwy or just don't work.  For one limit I am trying to make him do his normal attack.  Another one I wanted him to use a bunch of magic attacks.  The third one I wanted him to use the heartless angel like in his Safer mode.   Any help you guys can give me would be much appreciated.

So yeah I finally figured out how to change them over.  The only problem us when I do the box doesn't show up and I can't use it.  I tried to set it up just like how the others are but no matter what I do nothing works.  So is there something i'm missing or does it just not work with the current build?

Edit: I can't believe I didn't figure it out sooner.  Seperate entries to the text and the ability lol.  The animation was still screwed up but I think it was my fault as I edited the camera thingy.

Edit: Still messing with the settings but the animation is still messy and the limit doesn't fire off right.

Edit: time to admit defeat.  I compt out and went with Vincents limits.  It looks like I am missing something big.  I was planning on using moves that he uses while stationary like with his Safer moves.  Well i'll tinker around when I can and see if I can come up with for you fellow Sephiroth fans.

I have looked and there doesnt seem to be a guide that I am looking for.  I was wondering if there was a guide or something showing what to do to make the Sephiroth patch to work after installing bootleg?

Hey all I have made similar comments about this as I know some other people have already.  I was seeing how all this work was being done to make an HD remake with mods and thought to myself.  I wonder if anyone has done any more work on the Sephiroth patch to make limits for him?  I also then thought maybe I could just do it myself?  So I went to try to get a program that'll let me create battle animations and such.  I tried gmax but it can't read the lgp file and I tried to get a work around but that didn't work.  What I am trying to do is create limits to the ones that look like in dessidia and some from crisis core.  Any help that you guys can offer will be much appreciated.

Edit: I can't believe I didnt think of it earlier.  I was thinking back to the hex editing and thought to myself why not use the existing data in the game to string together the effects into a new limit.  So I recently got the limit editor and yes is does to work with the Re-Release by using the work around.  The only problem is I have having trouble with editing the names.  I havent quite experimented with this but if you guys could point me in the right direction to edit the name I greatly appreciate it.  While its not within my ideal scope it'll probably work better then adding in animations and such.

Edit: So even though I can pull up the limit break editor it doesn't change anything when I edit the animations and such.  So does anyone have any suggestions on what I should try next?

Edit: tried using wallmarket to change the limits but it doesnt seem to change.  Does anyone know how to apply the changes correctly?

I didnt mean for it to be racist and I apologize and now we are going way off topic.  Kuugen you need to learn to lighten up and just let things go.  You are making this harder on yourself so move on I just wanted to make one little remark about something you posted and so what if you don't like it just ignore it if it bothers you so much and I wouldn't of said anything else and we would move on with our lives.

Datapack you might want to try to reinstall in you c:\games folder because the program (86) doesnt allow the modifications to go through.  I had the same problem and did what I suggested and it works fine.  I have the Sephiroth Scorpicus patch with FF7music along with the mako reactor.  I am working on the script since the links for editing the script with the one provided don't work.  Once I get that done i'll try to export it for everyone.  The only thing I couldnt get to work was the cutscene pack so dont bother.  Don't worry about the kernels part because I didn't have any to edit but it still worked fine without it.  You can still use achievements and character booster so dont worry.  Also you can look in the bootleg tifa's tutorial to get the converter needed for the mods to work.  Don't worry about the ISO part for the disc check.  I didn't need it and it works fine without it.  I posted a youtube video just look up Final Fantasy VII Re-Release and it'll be under the username Revan.

This game is made my people who make video's like the Gungam Style and make weird statues above trains and you are wondering why they took this strange approach?  Just saying bro almost nothing that the Asian's do surprise me anymore and I do mean almost nothing.

Thanks e1sunz and kuugen no worries its all cool thanks for the answers.  I'll see what I can come up with and if I pull it off i'll be sure to share with everyone.

Edit: I downloaded a free trial of motionstudio 3D so hopefully that'll work for what I need.  Unfortunately it's only thirty days and I won't get the most out of it this month so i'll have to wait till next month because that is when I have the most time.  So hope you guys can wait.

Edit: So I just saw a post on his youtube video replying to someone a week ago that he still plans to finish this and is almost done with everything till disc 3.  He just stopped posting because he got tired of getting flamed.

Then I ask this question.  So would their be an animation or a set you could do for things like Octaslash or Scintilla?

Let the man work guys jeez.  Anway in other note Zyrrahx not to get your hopes up but I was going to see if I could get some of his Dissidia moves and also have two versions of Octaslash.  The Dessidia one and the Crisis Core where he glows green.  I haven't modded in a long while so it may take me a long time but I to want to see Dessidia moves used as limits which they mostly look like anyway.  Has anyone done any animation editing with the game recently and was it pretty hard or moderatly tough?

By the way have you been able to get a work around for the cutscene's for sephiroth?  I tried to patch it but the version the re-release uses on one of them isnt compatible.  Also the problem with Sephiroth is his mouth is always open like going "Duh!" before he talks and when he puts his head down when he thinks its even more priceless but gets old quick.

Hey guys just went through all the huge mess with the mods and the trouble of getting them to work with the re-release.  That being said I like to thank you EQ2Alyza for your excellent tutorial it helped me out tremendously.  I thought it might interest you guys to know that you didn't need to worry about getting the disc check thing and the achievements work fine.  I plan on uploading some videos so I'll post a link when I get them done.  I just used the exe file from the re-release and it worked out like a charm.  Also one last thing to point out, if you did the Scorpicus sephiroth patch before running the game before it being updated by the client the portrait and model on the map outside of battle will revert to cloud.  To fix this you need to run the LGP tool portion again to get it to work but it is possible.

edit: waiting on the cutscene to download and I got over an half an hour till its done.

Edit 2: Well just got done making a video.  I'm using fraps and I had to push the button every five seconds so you might see some time lost but not to big tried to time it as close as I could.  Unfortunately I as mentioned in my recent post I couldn't get the cutscene one to work.  If anyone knows a way please let me know thank you in advance.
