so i would have to fork from your source to do a FF8 version...gotcha. well i might much later, so i guess i have to work with 7, 9, and xenogears first. ;D

ah, the one without visual studio, gotcha, i wasn't even aware that was an option, by the way this stuff would also theoretically cross right over to my mac as well yes? if so, i hope i can solve my current problem with CMake mac... stupid Terminal version not installing...no matter what directory i use the same error comes up installing symlinks!

I know i've said before that my coding ability thus far is lackluster at best, but i really with to help, but i've obviously hit a hell of a snag since i can't seem to install OGRE on either of my computers, one windows, one mac. can anyone, please, help me help you all?

If i could only learn programming, i would try to compile this with FF8  :lol: .

of course, that's assuming such a thing is possible, i know that 8 was a bit of a programming departure from 7, but i know not how much, i just want to try to remodel, and retexture, everything i can.

he got better lately, of you read up to page 11, but still needs some work. he has a browser wrapper that he needs to benchmark to prove his performance claims, and also Tails is on the logo. remember, it's good to use constructive criticism with the retarded.

all my friend does is c++. but i have no experience with anything but art, in this field, which surprises me since I'm more of a logical than creative thinker.

hmmm.....i know a guy who i recently got hooked on the FF series and he knows some code, i'll see what he can do, but unfortunately he won't be back until 5 weeks from now. i personally have no programming experience besides some VBASIC i did 5 years ago...so i have no idea what i could do here, personally. i want to know, do you think team avalanche could combine with this? because if so then some corners could be easily and losslessly cut, and i could help over there for now. so, what do i do?

would i need new programs to help or can i use blender and unity?

but what's the game engine, i know OGRE is graphics only (and weren't you guys switching from that to something else?). what engine is it that can use all the old and new data?

...so wait, no ground-up remake with dx11 and blender models and such? where's the fun in making a slightly updated engine? or is there something i'm missing?

I was wondering, would anyone care to tell me what's going on here? Cuz i just realized a bunch of people are trying to remake this from the ground up.....just like me( except i doubt you all chose unity as a basis.) can anyone fill me in?
