Nothing major here, just updated all the existing options to those of Reunion R03e and added the Lock Inventory option from it as well.

Deactivate and Uninstall the category, then click on Workshop -> Check Subscriptions now. Download and install version 2.1.

Updated Faster Battle Animations, Faster Battle Deaths, and Faster Enemy Deaths to those of Reunion R03e, which I believe has fixed the crashes in battle. I have also added Faster Summons and 60 FPS Battles from Reunion R03e.

I don't recommend checking all the boxes, but rather using the four Faster... options OR 60 FPS Battles. Having all checked together makes the animations move too quickly and out-of-sync with some of the sound effects . Using them separately looks nice.

Deactive Animations v2.0 and click on Workshop -> Check subscriptions now. Then click the Update button and afterwards Activate v2.1.

I believe I've fixed the issues with missing files for NPC base options. There shouldn't be a crash on the 2nd Floor Shop Tutorial anymore. The Shinra Soldiers should appear normal now, at least the ones at the beginning bombing mission escape appeared normal in my testing. I don't have a save near the Cargo Ship ride to see what was happening there.

ALSO, please load Field Models - Objects ABOVE Field Models - Non-Player Characters now. I will change this in the Written Tutorial.

Click on Workshop -> Settings -> Check subscriptions now. Then click the Update button to download and install version 2.3.

7th Heaven / [UPDATE] Spell Textures (Limits) FIX [UPDATE]
« on: 2016-01-10 16:08:00 »
There was a small fix to the Spell Textures category. If you chose to use satsuki textures for the Magic, Items, E. Skill option, it contained the texture for the Limit Break option as well. This caused no Limit Break options to apply, as they were being overwritten by the satsuki textures.

Spell Textures version 2.1 is now added. You want to select Workshop -> Check subscriptions now and then click the Update button. This will automatically download and install the patch for Spell Textures version 2.1.

Enjoy your textured Limit Breaks :)

7th Heaven / [UPDATE] Field Models - Objects FIX [UPDATE]
« on: 2016-01-10 14:37:23 »
I had accidentally placed all the field object files inside the base models category of Field Models - Non-Player Characters, so if it was loaded above Field Models - Objects, then it would take priority. I have fixed this with an update to Field Models - Non-Player Characters version 2.2 by removing all the field object files from its base options.

Deactivate and Uninstall Field Models - Non-Player Characters version 2.1, then select Workshop -> Check subscriptions now. You can no click the Update button to download and install Field Models - Non-Player Characters version 2.2.

Enjoy :)

7th Heaven / [UPDATE] Battle Weapons FIX [UPDATE]
« on: 2016-01-10 13:37:11 »
First of all, thank you everyone for reading the Tutorial about the Load Order. I have made a mistake with it, so this one's on me :P

If you are having issues loading battle weapons or getting white textures, move Battle Models - Weapons above Battle Models - Characters in the Load Order. There are some shared files between the two categories, so having Battle Models - Weapons on top will give them priority.

Enjoy :)

7th Heaven / [UPDATE] Break 9999 Limit FIX [UPDATE]
« on: 2016-01-10 08:54:08 »
I believe I have fixed the crashes in battle when Break 9999 Limit was enabled.

Deactivate The Reunion - Beacause and Menu Overhaul v2.0 and then select Workshop -> Check subscriptions now. Then click the Update button for The Reunion - Beacause and Menu Overhaul v2.1. Enjoy :)

There was an issue with the Jinkazama2k7 options for Team Avalanche that has now been fixed.

Also, the PRP base models had a folder left inside of it, which I believe caused the crashing. You definitely can't inject folders lol

The 7H patch tool crashed on me, once again, so you will have to Deactivate and Uninstall the old 2.0 version. To Uninstall, go to the Library tab and right-click the green Installed button, then select Uninstall. Next, select Workshop -> Check subscriptions now to update your Catalog. Then go to the Catalog tab, refresh it with the Search button, and Download the 2.1 version. That's all the updating I'll do for today. Time for bed.

Enjoy :)

I have fixed the crashing issue for the 2nd field scene at the start of a New Game. There was a missing char.lgp folder, so this may very well fix all crashing field scenes in the game.

I updated the ff7_nt.exe to work alongside Menu Overhaul now, so you can play with them both enabled and fix the misaligned text from the previous ff7_nt.exe.

Here is the download link for the new ff7_nt.exe: http://www.mediafire.com/download/nn0f7l9fno134qb/ff7_nt.exe

Download and place it into your game folder. You want to overwrite the old one (or delete ff7_nt.exe before moving this new one). I have also included it in the Game Converter link of the Written Tutorial.

I could not add a Patch to the Catalog because 7H is crashing when creating it. What you need to do is Deactivate the 2.0 version of Gameplay - Difficulty and Story, then in the Library tab you need to right-click the green Installed button for it and select Uninstall. Next, select Workshop -> Check subscriptions now and then go to the Catalog tab. You will see Gameplay - Difficulty and Story updated to version 2.1 and the Download button. Download, Activate, Configure, Play, Enjoy :)

I've included the correct .EXE in the Game Converter link of STEP 1, and I updated STEP 3 to indicate which .EXE should be used with Menu Overhaul activated.

Head over to the Written Tutorial thread and download the Game Converter again. Run it as admin and choose the Overwrite (O) option. This is going to reset your OpenGL settings in 7th Heaven, so be sure to take a look at those again before you click the "Launch Game" button to play.

Enjoy :)

7th Heaven / Catalog 2.0 is HERE!
« on: 2016-01-06 20:00:56 »
Speech...Speech...Speech...

First of all, I want to thank everyone for their continued support through this entire process. It is this community, and everyone new who comes along the way, that keeps me motivated and pushing further. I can still remember when Iros first released the 7th Heaven tool (then called 7th Wrapper) and getting that envision to create this Catalog. I'm not a programmer, coder, modeler, or artist, but I always wanted to contribute something to the FF7 modding community. I think I've found that hitch now, and boy has it brought me a long ways since the first IRO I created. I've become so much faster...more efficient...more confident in myself and my abilities to contribute to this community. To that, I owe it all thanks to you guys and gals who use my hard work to enjoy their beloved FF7 in a whole new way. Seeing the excitement and praise come to life here on the forums is why I continue with my work.

Aaaaaaand, here's to many more updates to come *cheers* :)

Updates Report and Mod Requests

Moving on, below is the latest Update Report. I've already taken the honors of listing the first mod requests for the next update, but feel free to chime in anything you discover through your gameplays. I certainly do NOT have the time to play each mod through the game entirely...in fact, that would be physically impossible with how many modded variations we can play with now. I expect bugs, and I've prepared myself for them to come. I just hope they come in few and far between numbers :-P

Update Reports and Mod Requests: http://forums.qhimm.com/index.php?topic=15902.0

Getting Started with Catalog 2.0

So here's what you need to do. Read carefully because the number ONE issue that happens most often with modding is...user error! If you take your time and follow the steps, it'll be a breeze. Here we goooo...

First, EVERYONE needs to open 7H and go to Workshop -> Settings. Now delete the old Catalog 1.0 link. Next, EVERYONE go into their C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\7thWorkshop folder and delete the Catalog.xml file. The next time you open 7H, you will be putting in the new Catalog subscription link and clicking the Workshop -> Check subscriptions now. This will create a new Catalog.xml that you just deleted with the most updated Catalog information.

Second, we have TWO scenarios you need to ask yourself.

1) Have I never modded, modified, or altered my game folder in anyway outside of using the FF7_GameConverter_7H.exe?

2) Have I modded, modified, or altered my game folder in anyway? (e.g. using installers like Bootleg Configurator, The Reunion, or tools to manually mod my files)

If you answer YES to number 1), then you are clear to head over to the Written Tutorial and start from STEP 1. Yes, you need to download and run the FF7_GameConverter_7H.exe and choose the Overwrite option. There are a couple key changes to it that you don't want to miss out on (read about them in the Update Reports).

If you answer YES to number 2), then you need to follow the good old procedure of uninstalling everything, cleaning your registry keys, and starting with a fresh install. Sorry to say it, but I don't want to deal with that lingering monster that's been waiting for the Catalog 2.0 update to fill your dreams with nightmare. It happens all the time, trust me. JUST DO IT! After you've fresh installed, continue with the Written Tutorial at STEP 1.

EVERYONE Read This, Please

STEP 3 of the Written Tutorial has been updated with an important piece of information. I have included FOUR .EXE files with the new FF7_GameConverter_7H.exe which are used for either The Reunion - Beacause, New Threat, or Sephiroth Story Mod. Please take the time to read STEP 3 carefully and remember to point the FF7 Exe path to the correct .EXE for whichever mod you have activated to play.

Also, STEP 5 has some updated information talking about the new Compatibility feature built into the 7H tool. If you read about it and view the images, you shouldn't be alarmed by it.

Lastly, take careful note of the NEW LOAD ORDER that is to be used with the mod categories. It's quite simple really, but anything is difficult if you don't read about it first.

That's all for now. I hope you enjoyed this crazy, sleep deprived post. I'm going to bed 8-)

P.S. The donation link is at the top of the Written Tutorial.
