« on: 2006-04-16 06:45:03 »
I believe the CT:R team is still working on it, but only for portfolio use.  The final works will never be scene by the public.

Its either the resurrection team, or the other CT remake team.

latest directx drivers
Windows ME

ok heres the problem, he loads up the game perfectly. gets to the title screen, selects new game, and it says to insert disc 1. we tried the other cd drive, and pressed ok, and then it just had a black screen and nothing happened. im not sure what to do. maybe some of you had the same problem. if you guys can figure it out, me and him will greatly appreciate it.

Archive / FF7 For Sblive! version 1.41 released
« on: 2002-07-14 01:12:41 »
tiadaughtondude, where is the lb2.sfpack? in the readme it says to expand that as well as the FF7.sfpack. theres no LB2.sfpack included, did i do something wrong, or is it just a mistake?

oh dont get me wrong, the game install was only 450MB, the wav files werent that big, maybe the largest one was 165KB because its like the "wind outside the cockpit" sound.  and another thing they could do is put music on the cd, whether its the actual tracks or mp3s, it doesnt have to be on the hardrive. also, i have about 2gigs left, out of 30gigs. theres so much stuff i have on my comp that i just dont want to let go.

6
i wish games sounds would be wav files and all music would be mp3s, then you could do basically whatever you want with ease.  like for this game i have called Falcon 4.0, all of the sounds are wav files. so  what i did was extracted one of the missile movies from ff8(when the missiles are heading toward garden). one of the missiles flies past the screen and makes a cool sound so i recorded it into a wav, ediited it, and replaced it with the regular missile sound from falcon 4.0-the results were 10X better than the original sound!  heheh, sorry im ramblin'

yeah i understand the work involved. im just letting people know just in case they want to try to do it, that would be cool.

hey,

i was browsin around the many  MANY sound files in FF8 using qhimm's FF8Sound program. i made it to a couple of sounds that were the different "pieces" of the GF animation sounds.

Now, if you've ever played the PSX version of FF8, then you would know that for some reason, Square, changed Quezacotl's animation sound in the PC version. Why? nobody knows.  Also, when you summon Ifrit in the PSX version, right when he knocks the fireball towards the ground, he screams really loud, but you can hardly here it in the PC version.  Wonder what square was doin, probably there thumbs were up there arses while they made this game.

however, i found Quezacotl's GF sounds from the PC game. heres whats weird-i found the PSX sounds of Quezacotl as well! why did they do this?

now, my question is for you really smart computer people that play with the games inner workings----Is there anyway that you guys can incorporate the old PSX sounds into the PC version?  I think the PSX version sounds much better.  anyway, if you guys can figure out how to do this, that would be really cool. but i understand a lot of you guys have other projects your workin on.  give it a shot if you want to.

Hey,

I was always thinknig of this question, but i never knew who to ask.  This is a stupid question, but, is there any places on Earth that remind you or capture like the atmosphere of some places in ff7 and ff8?  I have a few: 1)green country-side(when you are on top of the train) that reminds me of some places in Richmond virginia, 2)balamb garden kinda reminds me of the university of richmond, 3)dollet reminds me of disney world(if you ever been there, im talking about the lake and theres the contemporary, polynesian and grand floridian resorts around it, the magic kingdom is also right near it).  Any other ideas, post em here.

MOT(or fanboy, not sure who said it) is right.  Gamecube is totally gonna overrun sony's reign.  I've seen what it can do, and what ps2 can do, and gamecube definately overun's ps2 in almost every aspect.  Xbox is just gonna be gay, i mean come on, microsoft has no experience in the console gaming market.  Its gonna be stupid.  The only company and systems ill ever love forever is nintendo.  Nobody can change my mind, i hate all other systems except for nintendo brand.  Because as all nintendo fans know, mario can totally whip crash bandicoot, lara croft, and any other playstation mascot, to crappy old cream.  Nintendo TOP, everything else BELOW BOTTOM.  Goodnight.

(the only cool playstation mascot is Squall, but actually, come to think of it, isnt playstation mascot. same with cloud because ff7 and ff8 came out for pc, so thats out the window!) (sony sucks)

General Discussion / Hardest Part of FFVIII
« on: 2001-04-02 05:20:00 »
This is a pointless topic.  But anyway, i think the hardest part of ff8 is on the way down to ultima weapon.  not fighting him, butgoing down into that cave and you fight really tough monsters like 2x iron giants at once, or behemoths and ruby dragons and you cant save and you have to be lucky to escape also until you get down to ultima weapon.  That i think is the hardest part of the game.
What do you think the hardest is guys?

jeidmark,

Javelin was banned because some kid got impaled right through the stomach because two kids were fooling around, they were throwing it back and fourth and one kid wasnt paying attention and got impaled.  I dont think hammerthrow is banned, i think we just dont do it at all.  I really want to try hammerthrow.  Hey, have you ever tried Discus throwing?

That's cool jedimark.  We must be similar, but where i come from javelin and hammerthrow are banned.  Only Discus and Shotput.  I'm 14 and in 9th grade.  I throw the shot 30FT, and discus is unknown since this season is my first time throwing it and i dont know my PB.  What's your PB's?  Seeya later<P>          -Lionheart

Well, there are .bin files in my movies folder on Resident evil 2 for the pc.  They've got to be movie files.  And the movies in that game are so awesome, so, is there anyway i can open up the .bin files and extract movies?
