Hello all!
I am working on a video tutorial series covering the creation of custom models for FF7 PC. This is for all of you who wish to learn.
For those aiding me in updating the current models, this will help for both technique and style direction.

Its Blender download it here http://www.blender.org/download/get-blender/ (http://www.blender.org/download/get-blender/)
You will also need Python 2.6.2 http://www.python.org/download/ (http://www.python.org/download/) (The Higher Version Python 3.1 does not work correctly)
Both are completely free as they are open-source

you can download the longer version which is not sped where i also explain everything.

YAY!!!!!!! THanks alot Timu! :-D
Edit: How to I get/make/create (whatever you wanna call it) .3ds files?
-
3ds is the export format of 3ds max, blender can import/export that format, but the export doesnt include uv maps. so export obj and then convert that to 3ds in ... biturn? i think.
-
Thanks Timu! and it was Biturn you were right XD
Edit: Whenever I try to join it together I get an error "Cannot Join without an active point" or something like that...
-
is that joining two objects in blender?
make sure your in object mode (tab toggles it) and if it messes up reselect the objects u want to combine, by shift rightclicking. then ctrl j to combine them into one mesh
note: to do this backward in edit mode, select the part you want to separate, and press p, then a little menu pops up... i think u just clikc selection or something like that.
-
ah Thanks Timu.
-
Hey Timu! where the hell is my music!?!?!? you said you'd put it in when you were finished!!!
