Final Fantasy 7 hangs in cosmo canyon while you are in the grandpa's lab, right after the FMV with the shooting star and the black hole.

Its weird...  :?

Everyone is blinking and the music is playing normally but the game can't continue.

I have tried re-installing the game to see if any mods were conflicting.. But nothing changes...

 Any suggestions? :?

« on: 2008-04-13 17:26:59 »
I have a very big problem, my FF7 used to work perfectly up until recently... Now it seems there is a conflict between my K lite and the true motion at first it would not start properly; Double click on ff7.exe and It goes to a black screen but I hear the Eidos music but I can't see anything, and then it just gets stuck; I cannot see anything or hear anything and I can't "escape" out of the game, the only thing I can do is hit the power button.. A week ago I un-installed the codec pack and tried it and it worked fine but for some reason doing it that way doesn work anymore... If i do not install the codec pack when I start ff7 it gives me a generic error message and I can't play If i install the codec pack it gets the black screen stuck thing...

damn sh!t sucks big time...

Any suggestions

Just wanted to say Ice cold, I've been here from the beginning (before Reunion's mod) and I found the old way to do the files MUCH less stressful. I don't know how to even install this new one... I rate that you bring the old way to do the patches, back, but then again its just my personal opinion.

-EDIT-
I just got it working by taking the char and world_us from the new patch and putting it in the field, pretty easy I also got the no materia bug, (the sense one after sector 7 plate falls down) so im going back to the previous one until all the bugs are ironed out..

OH YEAH, the new save point is KILLA

YO how you doing guys? Ice Bored and Storm? :) hope you did'n forget about me totally lol... so< Started'd'd'd'd FF7 again for the millionth time and I came across this, what does it actually do? and how is the installation different from the other ones? (Cause the other ones were F... easy to install, provided you had an IQ over 20... )

If you don't like it you don't have to use it, plain and simple.

If that was a suggestion you should learn how to suggest in a manner that does not piss off the artist, but anyway...

@ The Skillster: Well I agree a 2X one is not sufficient to make it enjoyable because it gets too hard and tedious the real ingenious and exciting ones for example your Dyne adding a monster is an example of a time consuming mod that every one wants but no one is gonna make because of the length and time needed to complete.

Hi guys,

I don't know about you, but I'm really getting tired of searching for new version of patches for FF7.
The managment of the forum should create one sticked topic which would include all the available patches with WORKING links and some descriptions needed for interested people.

Now, I'm experiencing a real chaos here, can't find what I'm looking for and also many links don't really work. I hope, you will understand me :-)
Well one piece of advice is to not even complain regardless of your searching being fruitful or not, as if a mod is in a bad mood you get banned like that (Fingers click) and searching through cluttered obsolete topics are a rite of passage here in Qhimm...

Doesn't it, it being the cash you get, get trebled because of the mastered level of said materia.
In my mind AP and Mastered level are factors of resulting money.

Aight, well I don't (shit will take long... :-o) want to make a new patch but I would like to see what you would have to change to make enemies more challenging so which programme should I be looking at? :?

How you doing ice_cold, I've been great just not been in contact with computers in these past months and when Qhimm did something to his servers I couldn't log in. so I took that as a hint, lol...

I've seen some real good models!!! your guys quality has changed since I was here everything and the models are more lifelike like a better texture or modeller did you uncover a better technique for doing models...?

Ya you are right everyone just learned how to model ey? scary thought that the NPC-RP might ever actually be finished...

A hardcore patch has some good points:
  • It was challenging and that brought increased incentive to play

It has more bad point thoughs:
  • Some bosses where ridiculously hard, as you were facing something that did three times the amount of damage, so if it only did 2000 damage before now it does 6000 and no matter how you level your character the boss will still kill him with one move.
  • The health of bosses are increased so sometimes you get to a point where its automatic regenerating process heals it and you can't hurt it pass that point because you hit it (400), it recovers two hits(800), you hit it(400), it recovers two hits(800), so on and so forth and this came to me a few times. :-(

[I have not listed every fault of it as most of them are buggy even if they are complete...]

In conclusion if one was to make another hardcore patch, it can't be not a mass affecting times two stat damage and hit point patch as that is lazy and unrefined but anyway the battle order becoming messed up was because of an admirable attempt to add spice to the game by adding monsters into fights for example with Dyne two additional monsters as well as a beefed up Dyne which was ingenious, unfortunately this took too much time and effort and thus was never completed.

A male patient is lying in bed in the hospital, wearing an oxygen mask over his mouth and nose, still heavily sedated from a difficult four hour, surgical procedure. A young student nurse appears to give him a partial sponge bath

Nurse", he mumbles, from behind the mask. "Are my testicles black?"

Embarrassed, the young nurse replies "I don't know, Sir. I'm only here to wash your upper body and feet."

He struggles to ask again, "Nurse, are my testicles black?"

Concerned that he may elevate his vitals from worry about his testicles, she overcomes her embarrassment and sheepishly pulls back the covers.

She raises his gown, holds his penis in one hand and his testicles in the other, lifting and moving them around.

Then, she takes a close look and says, "There's nothing wrong with them, Sir!!"

The man pulls off his oxygen mask, smiles at her and says very slowly, "Thank you very much. That was wonderful, but listen very, very closely......

An elderly man in North Carolina had owned a large farm for several years.

He had a large pond in the back, fixed up nice; picnic tables, horseshoe courts, and some apple and peach trees. The pond was properly shaped and fixed up for swimming when it was built.

One evening the old farmer decided to go down to the pond, as he hadn't been there for a while, and look it over. He grabbed a five gallon bucket to bring back some fruit.

As he neared the pond, he heard voices shouting and laughing with glee.

As he came closer , he saw it was a bunch of young women skinny-dipping in his pond. He made the women aware of his presence and they all went to the deep end.

One of the women shouted to him, "We're not coming out until you leave!"

The old man frowned and replied, "I didn't come down here to watch you ladies swim naked or make you get out of the pond naked." Holding the bucket up he said,

"I'm here to feed the alligator."

Moral: Old men can still think fast.

Covarr: Just leave it.... and to let you know you are wrong even the name tells you its different the NPC-RP is for the NPC's the reunion patch was swapping the battle figures to the field figures, the NPC-RP is about creating new and improved figures by:
1. Coming up with brandnew stuff. (Which is hard)
2. Using the battle.lgp figures and useing stuff like feet, arms, torso etc... from there. (ie: cid's body for the old man who looks like bin laden)
 :-P :-P

Forget Reunion's patch it's obsolete, the NPC-RP covers everything that his one did and more.
