of course just make it so that for the psx as long as both files are in the same folder as the program.

dual status is in the game during one fight that had a seperate AI to help control it from freezing the game.   This fight is bottomswell.

however in this patch the 2 mention boosses has this effect and it interferes with other machanics of the system in some way and will cause a freeze at some point.   It appears that the PC version can handle it to a certain extent but in the PSX version the moment the effect is active the game will freeze for sure.

It basically has the same effect as regen but instead of gaining HP you loose HP as rapidly as regen.

heh ok thanks for the reply.  I was just curious since everthings easier with the PC version.  I too prefer the PSX version, that why i'm glad someone is taking interest in teh datas for the PSX version.

I dont have a definate answer to your question, but I dont think their is any.   I'm glad that someone is working on the PSX version of the game but I like to why go threw all this trouble when you have tons mod with the PC version and its much easier to mod the PC version?

oops very sorry.   i highlighted 3 of the zeros and it looked like there was still 4 zeros left to me somehow.

Anyways for the ultima weapon fight he still has small ammounts of HP.  He has 20,000 or less HP in the final battle even though you put it as 500,000

it would help if we can actually view what it is.  And what could make emmy so hard.  I imagine that multiple counter attacks would break him easily. or w-magic demi+HPabsorb, Demi+Quardra magic and mime should do the trick.

Edit:  I checked the data and Ultimate Weapons HP is at 1,000,000 and his final form is 5,000,000.  Emeralds HP is at 10,000,000.   And he inflicts statuses and what seems like a decent or small boosts to attacks powers.

Emmy looks easily beatable with damage and HP limit break.  Just takes a very long time to kill since hes immune to gravity.

As far a Ruby goes this is even more of a timke killer.  I dont think the creator tested this fight.   He basically raisen rubies Defense to the point where your dealing less then 5 percent physical damage.  And on top of that he has 10,000,000 HP.  His magical defense isn't high but magics are wastes of time.  He can still be parylized but this fight is not hard, its extremely time consuming.

its rude but i just have to say it.   Seems like a usless mod if the only thing changed is item drops and steals.

Stealing for items has always been easier then winning them IMO.   The only rare items i can think of are the attack items and magics are way superior then those since magic is a hole lot easier to navigate threough and at some point stronger then those items.

you need an ISO editing program to make teh changes.   I dont know if some ISO editing programs will rearrange the data on the disc if the files too small or too big,  but whatever you do if theres an option to not do that put it on.   if the data is rearranged it will mostlikely be a corrupted disc that the psx can't use.

P.S. it would help you if you use the search button to find information.   And more importantly once you find it don't post on that topic to revive it.   People here don't like dead topics revived.   Might sound rude but thats how this site works since others aren't replying to your topic.

Scenester is very easy to use.   You dont need to learn anything to use scenester however you do need other prograsms to decompress the scene file.

No you don't need to restart the game to get the benifits.   The game wont get that much difficulty if all you did was alter the stats and give it more HP.    To make teh game hard you have to manually edit it with a hex editor and be creative which takes alot of time that alot of people don thave.   even if you max the Attack and level and such they will only deal about 3,000 max damage in back row instead of the usual 500 that alot of enimies seem to do.

86
Same as PC version.   Use scenester or any other editing program.

I think you were suppose to mantually extract the 3rd file and then decompress it.    After wards you run the program using the scene.bin and the uncompressed file 3.

I ran the program this way and it didn't change a single thing on my file so i'm guessing my scene file didn't grow in size or cause any programve after small amounts of tweaking.

Thanks alot.   I though my question wasn't gonna be answer for a while.

I'd like to find stuff on Castlevania Symphony of the night as well.

I'm also interested in just about any hacks for psx and ps2 games.

I tried asking about information on how to decompress games (mostly interested in psx and ps2 games) but i didnt' get any information on that so i might as well look for other sites with specific series and game hacks.

92
As the topic says are there any other sites that work on hacking other games and series?   Also where can I download some hacks for other games?

93
So is there any way to learn how to decompress files form other games?   I don't know too much about programing and stuff but I learned some stuff so if there is any imformation on processes of figuring out how to decompress stuff can you give me a link.   I'd like to take a looks and do some research and see if its doable.

94
how do you guys go about learning how to decompress or extra datas from games?   I'd like to attempt to learn how to do this if theres any information on the net.

I just don't get how you guys are able to do all this not long after the games are released.

No there is almost to no graphical enhancements to the psx version because the psx can't handle it and the disc space is very limited.

yep it seems that that was the problem.  There no need to make another scene i'm just testing it and searching for bugs and seeing what interesting things other modders can come up with.  Its a shame that the dual status doesn't work on the psx its a good effect.

you cast regen while dual is in effect?

Hmm,  i guess it is the difference in pc and psx version then.   Cause when ever jenova attacks with her blue light the game woudl continue normally and then she attacks with blue light again the game just freezes.
