Troubleshooting / Is there any mod that doubles XP?
« on: 2014-10-18 18:38:08 »
Just a simple thing is all. Simply want XP from enemies / bosses doubled.

2
Original CD version.  Using DS4Wrapper. It works, everything is configure alright, except:

D-pad does not work, Square is OK, X does nothing, O is back(That's normal at least), Triangle is Menu. I mainly want to switch X to be "OK", but I didn't see any controller mapping stuff?

I see Bootleg, I know it, but when I look at what it downloads, I notice alot of it is redundant.

I was just looking for a AiO package to install the latest / greatest  compatible mods / FMVS / without much of a hassle.  I remember FF7 2.5.1 Remix, which I see in the package, but obviously that's out-dated / can't be used with alot of the other mods.

I was just looking for the best Field, Battle, ect, models, the best looking FMV's, and backround images for a solid replay, updated music in terms of quality, but you know, not a total change. An all-rounder. Looking at the torrent, 4-5 things in it do the same exact thing as each other, so it's kinda unsettling.

Alright...so, I installed it, and fully didn't expect it to work(I mean heck, Windows 7-64bit, when I remember I had trouble with XP!)

And bam, it worked right away due to Remix. Nice.

My Specs:
GTX280 @ 257.15 drivers
Q6600 @ 3.0GHZ
4GB DDR2 PC8000(1000MHZ)
Windows 7-64bit

-----

So I haven't really started playing yet, but I just wanted to get into the game and see how it went. Issues I had, the FMV's remained 15FPS at all times, the same FPS they play in Media Player Classic, but they're jittery in-game, but in MPC, the videos play nicely. Also, not sure if anything can be done about this as it's an older Engine modified to hell, but what about FPS? It's @ 27-28FPS, and it acts rather slow. I don't recall if it was a 60FPS game, as it's been well...4 years, but that seems rather low. Is it just a limitation of the Engine due to age, and all these graphical enhancements thrown in?

Thanks.

General Discussion / Must have mods for FFVII?
« on: 2010-06-26 00:40:38 »
So I wanted to play an RPG to kill some time, tried some here and there, but meh, decided maybe I could try FF7 again, never got that into. I notice alot of mods that look interesting, but are sadly only 50-60% done.

Anyone have any "Must have" Mods they now use to play the game?

http://www.finalfantasy7pc.com/

This site is pretty dedicated to it, has some nice stuff, but still...what do you guys recommend for the best graphical quality & other improvements?

I'm not FFVII expert or anything, but I was talking to my friend who's had it for years.

I was talking to him about how after playing the game I understood alot about Advent chilren(I saw it before I played the game, I know)

I told him how cool it was about Zack and mistaken idenity and he told me you could get Zack...

I told him bull, I told him about how I had heard tons of rumors and none where true...

He told me some complex way to do it and I still tol him BS.

So he said he'd show me.

No gameshark or anything, he loaded up FFVII on his PlayStation, and made a new game.

A few hours in he did all this stuff and answered some questions to that sick guy in the slums(who we all know is Zack) and he did alot of stuff that confused me.

And then he told me the reason why you can't sell the Buster Sword - it says initial equip, but everyone elses initial equip can, so why not Clouds? Simple. It's Zacks Ultimate weapon(it's full potential get's unlocked at a point). I once again said - BS!

So eventually after trolling around and doing what seemed to be USELESS .

He went back to him and some convo was exchanged and then...ZACK WAS IN HIS PARTY, I know it sounds BS.

He is going to write it down for me, cuz' I've got to try this with the PC version...it looks awsome.

Plus I noticed in the reunion patch, their is a battle model for Zack...so it jus might work for the PC version

I know it sounds Bullshit, as I've said, but it's damn true.

I remember that you can also get sephy legitly, although he did not show me.

But there are sephys swords you can get legitly in the Battle Arena...so it leads me to believe...

I don't care if you dun believe me, but once he writes it down I am going to try and post about it.

I've googled it and found no real info on it

And if you don't believe me, I ask: Why is there a Battle / Field model for Zack? and why is there a throwable and equipable sephy sword? that you can get in the Battle Arena.

(He said give it to a sephy clone, and  you get him. He also said rufus is, but I don't know about that one)

Don't believe me? oh well.

Troubleshooting / An idea for clouds Ultima Weapon.
« on: 2006-01-02 04:43:52 »
We all see cloud using this(Buster Sword) as the default in scenes where he pulls it out, right? and in the movie Advent Children(well a modified version)

I was thinking if somehow you could replace Ultima Weapon with Buuster sword(I think it looks cooler), because it would seem more realistic, like the swords full potential got unlocked...a few ideas, if possible.

Starting sword:

Strife Sword(Same ol' Buusta sword model, same stats)

Ultima weapon:

Strife Sword(Potential unlocked)(Get it when you defeat Ultima weapon)(same stats as his normal Ultima weapon)

I think this would be cool if it's possible.

Just my idea's, basically I want the Buusta sword model for his Ultima weapon^ and like I said, renamed if possible.

Just throwing this idea out there...

General Discussion / Reasons to play through FFVII again?
« on: 2006-01-01 16:28:45 »
My friends have told me it's still alot of fun to play through again; but before I invest that much(more) time, I want people to list some reasons people have to play through again?

I just beat it and practically got every side-quest and such done...so yeah.

If I could get the reunion patch working, I would so play it over again(Yet as you know, it doesn't work on my *edition*)

Now I saw yer topic about nothing asking about this game, but I thought you ment the pirated version of it...so here go's.

The game crashed at all the ussual points and I applied the patches, they all worked and I think your site for having good links to them all. But it is now crashing at a certain part. That part is after you get the black materia a second time and give it to barrett or Red XII, I gave it to XII. Now I go through all the scenes, events and plot twists until the scene happens when I actually hand it to seph, while he is in the goo pod. Now the big "Weapon" comes up in the mini-scene and claws the snow mountain. It now blacks out and crashes.

I did not see any topics related to this specific point of the game...

I've applied the 1.02 patch(offical) and the 1.04 patch(from animevamp) I know they are designed for the original, but they did not mess the game up any...and the chocobo patch.

I have no other mods intalled, because I can't find out how to use those LPG tools or something(off-topic)

I've set it in WIN 98 and 95 compat, neither works.

I'm wondering if someone may know what's wrong?

Basic System Stats(BSS)

1.53 Ghz processer
512 MB ram
128 MB Video memory, GeForce 6800 OC(I know, a bit too much for my processer)(Latest drivers also)
11 gigs of space free

And if you ment no help for the Ultima Edition, then this long post is redundant.

Thanks for any time spared.(Plus the wall of text, and grammar errors)
