I'm trying to change the AI with this tool but there is still some unknown things and it's impossible to modify texts during battle. Do you think it will be possible in a future release ?

Hum OK, that's quite difficult. I think I will wait... you think Doomtrain will be able to edit texts in all languages ?

I can't use Carbuncle because I'm editing the french version. I will make a back-up of my kernel.bin before any change to avoid a bad issue. Thanks ! :)

Another thing: do you know in wich file can I change the items names ? I mean, not the battle items but all the others.

If it's in init.out, you should easily be able to get the offsets from here
I think init.out starts at 0x60, so just subtract 0x60 from any offsets on that page.
e.g. that page lists starting Gil as 0x0B1C in the save game data, so it should be 0xABC in init.out
items should start at 0xAF4 but you might need to edit the battle order of items too (see the sections before items in the save game).

Thanks for the investigation. It seems that the effect of the items aren't in this file, am I wrong ?

Well, I have a small request too ! ;D

I have modified the init.out to change the default abilities of all GFs and managed to do it. But now, I want to modify the items and the amount of gils. It's quite a boring thing because I have to launch a new game after every change I do. So, is there someone who knows wich offset I have to change for these two things ? Thanks in advance !

I had a look at the mngrp.bin but it's a huge file, too hardcoded for me. The only thing I want to do is change a gf item so that we could learn the Card Mod with it. I think I will wait for someone able to do this. Anyway, thanks for the help.

Sorry for the double post. I see that the menu items can't be change. There's a chance to see it in a future release ? (espesially for the gf items)

Carbuncle is only for the english version, so that would be very helpfull to add a text editor. ;-)

Great job guys! :-) i'm trying to delete the "GF" ability but it doesn't work. I tried to set "none" instead or change the condition but it's the same issue. I think it will be the same problem with all the abilities already learned by a gf.

Thanks but i want to import the save point model in the field just before ifrit and i want it to be visible. It seems that i can't do it with deling. :-(

Ok so for example, I can't put a save point in the fire cavern because there isn't a save model in these fields, right ?

Hi all ! Do you think it's possible to replace a draw point by a save point ? And how could I do that ? And maybe... Perahps it's possible to create a save point anywhere on a field ?
