You say target is OK but it's not ! xD If you want Glacial eye casts Ultima on the party, you have to change the target of the attack from 201 to 204.

if rand() % 3 != 0 > means that the enemy has a 33% chance to do the action.

self.varDC = 0 > variable used by the enemy... hard to explain for me in english sorry. ^^

domoveid (2) > the enemy use the action number 2 of the list of its attacks.

if self.status != REFLECT > means that the enemy will do this action if it has not the status REFLECT.

If you don't have any knowing of things like "if" and "else" , that will be hard for you. ^^

Wow sorry I didn't know I didn't have to help him. ^^ But now that we can, I wrote a memo about targets:

200 self
201 one target
203 last ononent who attacked (used for the counterattacks)
204 all oponents
205 all allies
207 ally
208 multiple hits

Also, for the bugs, remember that it mostly occurs when you have 2 or more enemies in battle that you have change AI. If you isolate enemies, there won't be problems.

If you want to do more complicated things, you might want to use a beta mod for Ifrit that I made here.


You'll be be able tu edit IA but be carefull with it, you should have some bugs using it.

Yes, you must import the files.

No, there is no list for the anime numbers but generally, 11 is for the magic attacks. For the customs, don't change them because they are specifics for each enemies. The game may crash.

All the enemies in fact. The only solution I found is to isolate enemies. If you put 2 different ennemies with modificated AI together, you will have problems like that:



If you put 2 enemies and there is only one with modified AI, it could work but not in every battle scene.

Maybe you should wait for a new version of Ifrit.

Did you change the AI with the Ifrit version of JWP ? I've encountered lots of issues due to this.

I don't think it's a good idea, the game is already too easy as you can kill all the ennemies until Adel just by using Gfs. I think it's more interesting to give the summoner status to a character (like Yuna in FFX for example). I don't know if it's possible. In FFVIII Reloaded by mexico, all the GFs commands have been removed and you received a GF Scroll at the end of test seed. That's the only way to use GFs in battle. That's not perfect because if you like GFs, you should have to change your junctions often. But well, that's a possible way.

I didn't know he'd made an FF8 mod as well! I'll definitely check this out.

I'm not sure it can be played if you don't speak french, there are lots of changings even in texts. But I thought about the mod you prepare, I know for sure that mexico has done a lot of hexedits so he can be of any help.  ;)

I think it's less punishing than the gjeorulv's. I didn't find a boss which is horrible. The difficulty is homogeneous.

Hi everyone!

Is there anyone who knows how to change the Angel wings status ? That's an horrible status for a hardcore mod. If you put Rinoa on this status with just Meteore in her magics spells, she can deal 9999 HPs damages on every hits with 255 on her magic stat. The best solution would be to decrease the multiplier, 5 in the vanilla, for 2 or 3.

Yes, I had it too on his french version. It seems that it's just a bug, you just have to delete it in the materia menu.
