Yeah, you read that right. That's what I'm up to now

As most of you know, normally in Dissidia 012 Aeris is just an assist, not playable at all. However, after much trial and error, I managed to get her to swap with Vaan. For some reason he was the only one she would work with

As you can see she can't attack because she lacks animations. After much more trial and error, I managed to give her all of Yuna's animations:

She's still replacing Vaan in the video, but now she can replace Yuna too. However the extra bones Yuna have broken her bone weights, which is why she is all over the place. I have no idea how to fix it though

Does anyone understand the GMO spec on the wiki? That could really help out.

Should the bone problem become fixable, can we get obj into a gmo file?

Well I've done everything through hex. The bone problem probably is fixable through hex as well.

There aren't any tools to edit GMO at all, only extract and view. The closest thing is the Dissidia modding suite that lets you replace textures.

I've asked MrAdults about it, and he said he's too busy. So maybe talking to the guy who made the dissidia modding suite might help?

Got her to use her won bone weights, now she looks more like a wacky waving inflatable arm flailing tube man.

And the game doesn't like it, must be missing something else...

i wonder if you can change the summons that apear too? Have you thought about that? You could try and replace them with other char's from the ff series

Probably, but that would be weird

But it would have to be someone already in Dissidia though. Then again the assist function pretty much does the same thing

It's kinda strange seeing Aeris all over Tidus...

She doesn't always move her mouth when she speaks...but I might be able to fix that, not sure.

Of course it breaks Yuna unless you add Aeris' hair bones onto her, but it's all good.

Wow, haven't updated this in a while...

Anyway, I've done a lot of research into Dissidia, and enabled DLC swapping (removing DLC from one character and assigning it to another)

adding dlc attachments to other characters (Cloud's cape on Tifa for example)

Anyway, on to Aeris. I've managed to get her attacks to work now, but only if she replaces someone.

I'm trying to get her ID to load attacks, it won't let her equip any. I can modify the playable Chaos code to get her to use basic abilities, but her regular ones won't work. Can anyone shed any light as to why this is? All of her attack data is listed in the system.bin, including attack descriptions which aren't normally seen.

Is anybody interested in helping me?
