About permissions . . .
« on: 2013-06-03 03:14:11 »
I have edited a track from FinalFantim's remastered OST which I have been personally using for a while along with my own edited version of a track from  another game. I use these to make one specific part of the game more (for lack of a less generic word) epic. If I were to share them here, I would need permission from FinaFantim who is not around to contact right? Also, in order to share my edited track from another game, could I just recognize the owners of the content like when posting a song on youtube?

That usually works until the original author finds out and denies permission solely on the fact that they didn't originally give consent. That's the way corporations do it. I don't think an indie would have that much of a problem if s/he were already appropriately acknowledged. That's how I'd feel.
