Troubleshooting / Tom's installer

More Info: I removed it from win 10 and reinstalled on other OS namely win7.
settings used- all recomended by installer
Primary display driver
software renderer
640x480 16bpp fullscreen
HD audio
MS GS midi (sounds played fine in tests)
Yamaha XG midi
3804MHz Processor
did configure as suggested the started ff7.exe and no movies played but got to the New Game or continue. Picked new game and screen went to a black screen and still no movie scene's. I am wondering if I need some other player then Windows media player?
I am not sure that all movies where transfered to the game folder.
