To play the New Threat you just have to select it in the Difficulty and Story mod? No need to install a separate package?
Is this compatible with the reunion? (the menu overhaul, break 9999 and no battle boxes at least, since beacause will probably conflict, right?)

New threat mod is in the Gameplay and difficulty mods section in 7TH Heaven, the MOD is compatible with menu overhaul no battle boxes but the 9999 damage break is not recommend. Also be sure to select nt.exe in the 7TH Heaven settings as well.

Ps my suggestion is to toughen reno a bit, i was only frustrated with the battle bc i wanted to morph him and smtn allways messed it up, someones counter, critical instead of normal hit before morph etc, but otherwise hes a pushover. I know hes just messing around, delaying time for the bomb to go off, but still, compared to other beefed up enemies he just has a lot of hp. Again just my thoughts and feedback.

You did mention that all bosses will be non-stealable, but how about morphing? Are some morphable or none also?

Thx for poison tips, im guessing the game would be too easy with poison all from the start.

Were did you get morph materia at that point in the game.

@yuffie segachief, alyza answered that q for me earlier in one of the pages, segachief said at mid February IF nothing goes wrong(and it usualy does-his words ;-)  ), plus the patch time, my estimation at February end? Not so soon for us impatient ffers.  :-) im doong shinra hq atm, and im using this playthrough to familiarize myself with the fantastic nt mod. Chief said its major overhaul so its likely well have to start over, so as not to miss any important stuff.

Thank you for that I would not normally ask, I just did not want to waste time if a new version was coming out. ;)

You'll find Poison Materia in it's original location, the treasure chest up on Floor 67 of the Shinra HQ. You can inflict Poison earlier using a new item called Dirty Bombs which can be bought in item stores (Wall Market for instance); they replaced Eye Drops.

You can get rid of Refraction's Reflect by bouncing your spells off the afflicted character four times; they'll bounce onto Reno rather than back at the caster.

I'm putting together a change-log for the 1.4 build; it'll list everything that's new/different, and why it was put in. I'll make a proper database for all the equipment, possible character stats, etc. as well.

Do not usually like asking this, but when is 1.4 coming out. Just that I started 1.35 and at the Reno fight at the top of the pillar. Just wondering if was worth me continuing on.

Patience is a virtue.

People like Zara do annoy me, 1 person compiling all of this and trying to meld the mods to work together so they work together is a lot of work mistakes will happen. It good that Alyza has manage to keep patience so well.

7th Heaven / New Issue: I am Sorry Alyza

So I made the recent updates to 7TH Heaven, plus I did a recent GPU driver update. Then I ran the new game converter redone the settings in the 7TH Heaven tool, and checked the the FF7 conifg 1.02 sound tab enabled my sound driver. Checked the open gl settings in the tool to make sure it is on VG stream, launched the game in the tool now getting no sound what so ever.

I wish I could be more use but I have everything except The Seph Story, Jessie and Dynamic weapons mods installed. I have the Linear Filter and Postprocessing enabled.

(On an unrelated note, Save Anywhere seems to be a crapshoot on whether the game locks up and no longer lets you move on reload or not)

Depending on what exe you are using in the 7TH Heaven tool, right click the exe go to properties click the compatibility tab and tick disable display scaling on high dpi settings.

So here is a post of things I have noticed not working after playing around with 7th heaven.

Field models- objects try all available options none are working.

NPC- Biggs Wedge and Jessie several times I have tried to select the Jinkazama models but everytiime it just keeps using the PRP version of them. And with the base selection I try and use the Kaldarasha models again keep going to PRP variants of them.

Menus Avatars and Backgrounds: Vincents Avatars are using the standard one no matter what I select.

Field Models: Barret's field model keeps going Jinkazama one no matter what I select.

Battle Model Weapons: Slayersnext selection not working uses originals.

Gameplay Mods: New Threat Mod Crashes HARD.

Overhaul: Exceed 9999 battle damage crashes game.

That is it so far I will update further if I see anymore problems.

Nvm, it works now... selection on control panel was inverted so I was choosing the wrong adapter port (the one which no controller plugged in).

Also, My pc rez is 1920x1080. What exactly should I fit in these configuration spaces? I tryied fiddling a bit with numbers but sometimes I got bad results lol

 
If I were you I would keep the internal resolution to standard 3840X2160 tick post processing, linear filtering tick new timer and leave texture memory to either 784 or the next one down also tick full if you want full screen.

well with what you said the sound option didnt have anything selected so that was something but it didnt fix my problem, the game itself still closes after being opened from the 7th heaven

What mod are you using, try using the standard exe if you are not, also have you recently updated your gpu drivers.

ok but do you know why my game closes straight away after i open it? even with just 1 mod active? this happened after i downloaded all mods and enabled all, even if some mods stop others from working but if all mods being active then there shouldnt be a problem right?

Have you checked the FF7 config menu in the sound tab to see if it has picked up your sound device, one of the most common problems for 7th Heaven not working is a un-configured sound device.

Well you can do manually, but not with the use of 7TH heaven, game converter basically turns it into the 98 version but add files to get the game to work on newer operating systems. As well as working toward getting mods from 7th heaven to work with each other.

No modding with achievements. Either play the game through once with intent to aim for the achievements only, then play again through with it modded...OR...forget the crappy achievements and play modded with the same experience as the original (aka achievements were a self-driven goal, and had nothing to do with display messages on a public client such as Steam...seriously, who reads that crap and actually cares?).

LMAO that could not of been put any better.  :D ;D

Hello. Does this mod have support for steam achievements?

Also, I've downloaded some mods but when I start the game there's no response from neither the keyboard nor the joystic. Am I missing something?

Once you use game converter anything steam related is terminated, as in achievements, cloud saves, overlay the lot.  If you are using a laptop make sure to install the laptop patch, also yes joypads work I am using a PS4 pad for this game with mods. Also take the time to read this thread to get it to work.

7th Heaven / New threat mod crashing

Like the title say's the new threat mod is crashing, it starts up and you can defeat the first 2 soldiers but when you come to change scene and about to meet Barret and gang the screen turns black all you hear is the music. Not only that I could not exit out of the game with control+alt+delete to bring up task manager I had to do a hard reset. I used the new threat EXE as well and tried a numerous other combination of mods, even as far as to deactivate all of them and just try the New threat on it's own still same results.

Another tiny thing, every time I start the 7TH Heaven EXE I am having to activate all the mods again and configure them any ideas. More a pain in the butt than anything I thought it would save your previous configuration.

Download 7th again and extract it in your 7th folder. Had the exact same issue.

Yeah that is the helping hand , you can turn it off I think with button 8. But there is also a gameplay mod to turn it off completely.

i think so too. it is not so hard. have to create a ruleset and the rest is by implementation :)

To be honest the load order not that hard to get right, I actually found out if you download the mods in order they appear in on 7th heaven the only ones you need to move up are the miscellaneous ones.
