Unforuntately, due to NDA all I can mention is that I'm a programmer on the project.

For those that have been wondering what I've been up to whilst I've not been active here, it's this

Enough is enough.

Nice job, Aali.

I just wonder that noone discovered the possibility of injecting a custom graphics driver into the engine before, especially since there have been several patches developed for the internal engine.

And we thought that we have already reached the limits of the original engine years ago...  :-P

If you look it up, I think Qhimm noted it quite some time ago.
I've looked at it before when I did the high res patch, but never got round to actually playing with it.

Yeah, thanks for the b'day wishes.
I still check the forums every once in a while.
Just been really busy with work that's all

1st Warning, don't bring up age old threads and watch that attitude.

Troubleshooting / Re: The_Saint patch has a virus
« on: 2008-10-29 12:53:47 »
It's mainly due to the nature of the patch.
Since it actually involves altering the executable in similiar ways that a trojan would.

10
Answer is no, always ask before you try.

11
I was working on writing a patcher. but I've obviously not had no time to finish it yet.
Just been too busy of late.

12
Which patch are you applying first? The 1280*960 one must be applied first if you want to apply the 1280*1024 one.
Please also check what resolutions are supported on your monitor in windows display properties, it it doesn't support either of the resolutions than obviously this patch won't work.

He is certainly trying very hard to avoid the ban, but he can only have so many "friends" or proxies to use.

masteraden : Banned FOR LIFE, don't bug Admins about what threads to read, especially ones where you troll in.

15
I certainly have no time to work on this project atm, so I'd say it's on-hold for the moment.
There will never be widescreen support though, after all, the game was meant to be run at a 4:3 aspect ratio.
Language support is mentioned in the faq, so look there.

For anyone who's interested, there's a better quality clip here.

Looks like I arrived in the thread too late to have saved you the effort of having to guess all of that the hard way.
Ah well.

A word of advice. If you're going to converse in a language besides english, please use the PM system.
If not, try to provide translations for any conversations that you have made.

FF7 Tools / Re: Aeris - Intended FFVII Editor
« on: 2007-01-26 12:39:54 »
The files aren't really missing tiles, it's just that the animation number is missing that tile that's all
If you flip through the animations, you'll see them appear.

21
Each field file is LZS compressed.
However since it's one full file and not several files like the PS1, they compressed the whole file and not the seperate parts individually.

22
If you take a look at Aeris, it will be pretty obvious that the format is far more complex than you think.

You get to see the new features now ;)
A few controls you should be aware of though.
Shift + Drag moves the top layer (try bwhlin and you'll know what I mean.
Normal drag scrolls the screen.
Mousewheel zooms the image.
Also the Upper / Lower Plains hardly appear in the right positions. This is because they are implemented via the scripts and obviously I haven't implemented them yet.
I'll let you test the rest and figure out the rest of the controls yourself.

24
No, the directx layer is actually too late to change anything in the code, so I have done it far earlier in the game engine itself.

25
No I haven't and it doesn't look like I'll have time in the near future to do it.
It's just too much work and I don't have the time to do it.
As it stands, the patch is "quite" complete.
