Scripting and Reverse Engineering / FF7 Weapon Models
« on: 2004-12-13 20:19:14 »
Same one for PC. Files are stored as 4-letter names (i.e abcd). Check in the FF7 database the first two digits for character (i.e sa** - Sephiroth (Nibelheim) as far as I remember), the last 16 files are weapons (in Sephiroth's case they are the same, shucks).

General Discussion / FFX Seymour strategy?

Tell the truth. If you beat Seymour Flux, then you won't have bigger problems later on.. If you're playing normal US, and have the basic S-grid, just follow the guidlines. Most recommended.

Daemon of Daeya.org took his time to rip off the file properly..
This is the 4min TGS'04 trailer in best quality so far.
Zer0 of FF7AC already made a subtitled version, altough it's currently unavailable. Here we also translated in into Polish, though except Maverick (and partially Alhexx) I didn't notice anyone else here who would be from Poland..

Thanks to Dayea.org..
Get it here..

If they are on overdrive, the moment you summon them you use it. It causes massive damage, and that's exactly what we want. Afterwards they will get banished. Aeons will get rid of more then half of his HP. The rest is up to LB's and heavy hitting.

Nope. The bloody bastard is in my opinion the hardest boss in the game... Later the Keepers can pose a problem, but not such a big one. Definaetly, only Aeons can help you out. Why? Because after his HP go down, he'll start casting a spell that means goodbye no matter what. So pump the overdrive bars, and that's it.

Everybody on full limit breaks, and all Aeons on overdrive.
When Yuna's turn - summon Aeon, overdrive. When not Yuna's, either Curaga/Hastega etc. or LB. It's quite a typical way for beating him, but oh well, it works for many other bosses as well. You might also want to consider changing characters when somebody got Zombie'd with Lance of Anthropy and you have a move in between. That way Life will not affect you. If he's preparing for Cross Slash (casts Dispel beforehand) can a good shot of Protects and get the best HP characters out there. I doubt you have Holy Water's, but they help a bit. I keep forgeting to buy them from the Ronso Tribe.

General Discussion / Final Fantasy XI - Online

Linkshell..?
When playing online games you have to deal with all the characters and the world. Once I played a lot of RO, and even though it was nothing of a fanastic game, it was very enjoyable - mainly thanks to players who didn't thing only of "exp exp prt lvl!?".
Just waiting for my copy to get into my hands..

General Discussion / How fast did you beat FFVII?
« on: 2004-12-08 06:54:48 »
I also had 12 hours.. For one particular reason - software mode, or either a glitch causes the time to be counted half. 2 seconds is one second for the game. So the real playtime is at least 24 hours. I think someone posted it somewhere else..

Not really...
I always forget to buy restores. Every time I played FFVII, I always forgot to buy those. It might be a slight pain during the final boss battle, but there is always FullCure, and you should master Restore by then and have another one. If you're not confident enough, just grab one.
And there is no other choice but to train All's. They're worth it.

General Discussion / Final Fantasy XI - Online
« on: 2004-12-02 12:24:20 »
Well...

Generally speaking - to find some info on the net about it - it's not hard... There are tons of FFXI dedicated sites, also gamefaqs.com is good enough..
But I wanted other Final Fantasy XI players here to speak their word (*looks at vvalentine*)..
But thanks for the site. It's looking good.

And it would be nice to meet them on a server as well... (which raises another question - is the server system .hack// alike? that you can switch them using your player, or do you need to create a new one for each one..?)

I've noticed Ultimecia's textures are on Disk1 in the PSX version.  Weird huh?

I'm pretty sure that the battle data is kept the same throughout all the disks. Btw. using Gameshark I managed to get a lot of enemies in my team, many of which you didn't encounter on this disk (i.e Ultimecia, Griever, Fujin, Raijin etc.)

General Discussion / I need to know...

Advent Children is not released anywhere yet.
There was a 25' screening recently in Paris, and that's about it..
It was extended from 60' to about double of the original length, so the release date is delayed.
The current official date of release is 14th Feb. Although it was not stated were, it's most likely Japan.
