FFVIII crashes in Esthar when talking to guards
« on: 2012-04-22 22:49:19 »
After a short break from my FFVIII adventures, I tried resuming at Esthar, where I left off as Laguna. I'm at the point where Laguna finds out Odine has Ellone and I have to chase him down in his lab. I'm outside of Odine's building, I walk inside, take the elevator down, and find Odine. I come up to him and too guards come out. One of them says he can't believe we came back, and when the second one says "you fools!", when I press a button to move on to the next message, the game tells me that something bad happened, and that the crash has been written to crash.dmp and app.log

The app.log's contest are as follows:

The save can be found at http://www.mediafire.com/?jaewehkhkc9zm51

I'm using windows XP SP3 along with Aali's OpenGL drivers.

I tried looking for solutions on google but all I'm getting are links to walkthrough guides instead of solutions. I tried searching the forum but I didn't come up with anything. Does anyone know what could be the cause? If there is no solution, is there be a generous soul that could possibly get to the next save point for me please ^.^ Much appreciation for the solutions!
