i install ff7 1998 version onto desktop
i use ff7 game converter it moves the game to C:
after gives me a bunch of ERROR access denied then finishes
also with the game converter i can keep on trying to convert
on 7th heaven.exe when i click on download mod its always calculating

what do i have to do to make all this work? i tried going through the tutorial video and mines never the same

You can not install straight on to the desktop, your best bet is to install it like this C:\Final Fantasy VII, maximum install. If the game converter is throwing out errors be sure to run as admin. Also make sure to mount the blank ISO. That always calculating problem, sounds to me like either a server problem or a internet one. What you may want to try is cleaning the folder in the app data and try again. Also Run the 7TH heaven EXE with admin rights too.

It's ok guys, aaceace is a new user, so I don't expect them to have read everything yet. Yes, the new subscription is being worked on atm and will be up within the hours. Stay tuned :)

Why can people not exercise patience, there is 1 person working on this and there is a LOT of work to be done, the lady working on this said there more than likely be a link sometime tonight patience people. Plus there will be a new thread made when it is done.

And to add to that question will it be enough to just re-download new iros with current setup or as yuffie said reinstall the whole game-7h-eros?

A new release like this will require a fresh install so there are as few errors as possible and do a registry cleaner for good measure. You need to remember that a new release has a new interface so alway a fresh start is the always the best way to go.

As far as I know, Cloudiar never released this mod. Can't very well be included if it was never released in the first place.

Really, that sucks I genuinely thought it was released. Sorry about that :-[ should of researched a bit better.

yes i have it same problem and i using win 10 but this problem happens when I change the internal resolution because if I leave in 3840 x 2160 the game is slow. Anyone know how to fix it?

Have you linear filtering enabled in aalis drivers.

Hehe, yes we're almost there. The Sephiroth Story mod is a bit tricky to compile, so I'm working on that. Then it's packing up everything into IROs, uploading, and writing out the new Catalog subscription :)

In all seriousness is there a way we can donate, because seriously you deserve it.

It was made way back in the stone age, before we had a lot of the tools we use for modding now a days. This made it near impossible to use our current tools to patch it to be compatible with other mods. The mod author recently stated this and said they won't ever return to it for any updates, so by request, it needed to be retired. Nightmare 7 and New Threat mods took Aeris Revival and fixed/added it properly to their mods, so it can still be played through them.

Thank you very much for that insight, I guess like everything age takes it toll. Glad to see it implemented in the new threat mod.

There's no need to hold off because 7H has a patch feature. When 1.4 is released, I can create the patch and all you will need to do is click the Patch button in the Catalog tab.

This may or may not be doable, but the biggest issue I had with the original game was the lack of a wind and water materia. The only way to add those elements to an attack is with summon materia. Usually you'll want those elements on a melee character so equipping a summon materia go gain those elements will weaken your melee characters where as just a normal magic materia wouldn't.

One the flip side, I love how you made Gravity, Sense, and Morph actually usable.

There was actually a reason as too why there was no water materia there was no actual enemy that was weak to water not even the fire based ones so there was no real need for them to put one in. As for the Wind materia, most flying creatures were weak against wind but you could never attack them with melee weapons without the use of long range materia. Plus also there was only 2 flying boss battles in the game. So I think that was why those 2 element were not made as a materia.

What kind of video card do you have that can't run openGL?

Older Intel cards 3000 series and before do not run OPEN GL.

Hey so I got all the mods installed now, but the game simply isn't booting at all from the launcher.

It briefly flashes and then closes, no error messages or anything

Sounds daft but have you in the config in the sound tab pointed to your sound device. When I could not launch the game it was because I did not config the sound device.

Do you use the 32 bit version of Windows 10?

64 bit version.

I do not understand the point of this pro gramme, I can install the original 4 disk version of FF7 on windows 10, plus I can fully mod it too with Final Heaven.
