Bootleg Questions / Re: [Tutorial] Tifa's Bootleg

What about my little issue? Any tweaks that need to be done? Again it's a 2012 release.  Windows 7 and all.

Sora123masta, which version of the game do you have, and which OS are you running? This looks like a bad install that probably lacked rights. If it's the Steam version and you installed it in the Steam folder, that can happen, even when running as admin. To fix it you need to uninstall the game and re-download it, then copy it to another folder outside of the Steam folder, install Bootleg there and copy the game back (you might need to restart Steam for it to see you copied the game back).

Iceboundphoenix, the missing texture files are harmless. Many mods remove textures for their models. It's also unrelated to the black bar at the bottom, something I've never seen. Is "new_battle_interface" set to "on" in your config file of Aali's driver? Have you installed anything after Bootleg?

2012 remake edition with Windows 7. I have my UAC turned off and my Norton shut off.  I have the game installed into my games folder where everything can be done without any issues.

Edit: Maybe I forgot to add administrator rights to the bootleg installation and the game. I don't know.  I bought the game from the website and all just maybe lacked rights.

Okay i've not had some issues to administer as a report before but right now I am ready to speak about them. I have the option for the slow battle swirl effect put in and yet it doesn't do so. It goes normally swift and some areas have blocks on them.  I wish I had screen shots. My field textures are Blackfan+SL1982+facepalmer.  And my texture art for the prelude credits isn't showing right, it's just showing the original.  I clicked check on New Spell Names and it didn't work.  I have Battle Scenes as PNG and LGP checked.  Upscaled Magic checked.  Anyone wanna give me some pointers on what gives the better  areas without any issues?

Anywho,  I have a question, what are the best texture settings that can be selected? I've tried only a couple when installing but I haven't tried others.   And other settings that are considered the 'best'.  o.o

My recommendation is to copy paste your save folder and AnxiousHeart folder (From ficedula folder) to a different folder then delete the installed game, reinstall it and reinstall your bootleg modifications. I've had to do this before when I accidentally messed up a mod setup.  Tell me, have you made any recent changes to certain files?  What are your bootleg settings before playing the game? What is checked and what isn't checked? What is your current resolution and internal resolution?

I see, can you keep me updated on it Tifa? I really love this and I grew up on FF7.  It's a big memory to me, brings back a lot of good memories.  I'm checking almost everyday, it's so exciting to know about the updates.  If I had the right education in something like this, I could help.

Not at all, there can be a million problems other than the install directory. Can you post your APP.log please?

Good point there man.  And hey, I have had past problems before, it could be that he's missing certain mod files to interact and recreate the files in the LGP's.  But who knows. I had that problem before a couple days ago, took me a while to figure out some things if you want me to elaborate. I was quite impressed with the work, but the internal resolution was my big issue, not the mods. o.o

Hello, I am very impressed with this package but I was livestreaming my game and all of a sudden Yuffie crashes the game whenever I try to get her :(.  Any solution?

Which directory do you have the game installed?  If you have it installed in Games then everything should have gone fine.

I'm sorry for spamming this thread, just excited and very impressed with this mod manager.  But, Tifa. Will there by chance be an update on the torrent with any new files to be added in the new bootleg update as well as certain reanimation files and all of that when they're brought to action? O.o

Okay, I reread everything that I had to do. xD I installed it to c:games directory  as recommended and the bootleg worked as well as turning off the UAC and antivirus.  Tifa, you have done a great job on this, lemme say for someone interested in modding. I am very glad that an easy installation like this is around.

This morning I accidentally uninstalled without unmounting the virtual drive. xD DERP. Then rebooted so I can do it again but now it's giving me crap. >:C I was trying a lot of major things because the enhanced menu style in the overhaul selection is making the graphics twitch in some parts, you know how on some Nvidia cards or ATI ones that you see square lines or straight lines in some picture areas in the game?  I removed the enhanced menu and it worked with others, just gotta try to reinstall it AGAIN. :|

Anywho, I love this, it was worth the torrent download. Thank you, and god bless. :O

I'm having a similar issue, i've installed the 2012 remake and i've done everything correct with Bootleg, cept when I had to manually install the GUI stuff but here's my APPlog.

Edit -  Is the Bootleg modification supposed to delete and recreate the BIN files needed in the game? O.o  Some errors came up in reinstallation about Scene not being found or something.  Which could be a reason for one problem I had.

I know it has it's own thread. I am just trying to be very careful you know, I used to not have cable TV, moved into a trailer and all and only could watch movies. A friend used to download movies and such. e.e

All I know, you are doing a good job.   But still, the torrent thing before isn't an option anymore. Is it okay for someone to upload the mods via dropbox for the 2012 version of the game? :O

I would appreciate that, a friend gave me a gift for the 2012 remake and I just need the enhancements for the music like anxious heart and something to help with the models, menu overhaul and much more for the 2012 remake. If they don't mind. xD

Okay, totally off topic. I cannot download most of these mods via torrent because the cable company and internet service provider are watching for major torrent downloads, since the beginning of the year they have been totally strict on this.  Wouldn't it be possible to upload these mods via Rapidgator or Uploaded.net in Rar folders or 7zip files?
