Can someone please go to Chocobo Farm and feed a chocobo?  Tell me if the options are working there, because it looks like it's totally bugged out for me.  This is in regards to the following text:

“Okay?”
{CHOICE}Yeah
{CHOICE}No
{CHOICE}Choose another one

Which will appear after you have selected the green.

Which one are you using? Ro3c? I'll try to get that to work and run it if it'll stop crashing on startup. I'm using Ro3b.

Have you opened up FF7config to see if anything looks out of place in it?

http://forums.qhimm.com/index.php?topic=14490.0 --- I thought you would have at least read its OP by now :P

All I'd do to make a 7H version of the ReTranslation is install each of its options to clean copies of the game, then pack the necessary files from those installs into an IRO for 7H to use. I'd include all the same options for spelling and canon as selections in 7H.

I never knew that a 1.49 version was out till just now.  And here I am working on old material. xD Anywho, gotta try and get my xpadder to work with this . It worked before but now.. Meh.

30
So, the current version is unsupported because of something with 7th heaven?  I am wondering cause I haven't been able to play with the game on 7th heaven without crashes from prior Reunions like R03B/C.

31
You can manually change the controls within the game once you've modded it with 7th heaven. All you need to do, if you're using a keyboard keypad or not depending on the patch, is to go into the options or settings within the party menu; locate control presets and select custom controls. Manually switch what controls you have for your keyboard. Same with your gamepad if you're using that and xpadder.

Nothing that I am familiar with, still runs good for me.  Heck I stopped using windows 10 since it caused major issues on my Alienware computer. So, not gonna bother with it.  I got some friends in town who are running windows 10 and are doing tests with some games. I'll put FF7 and 7th heaven on the list for them if that is fine with you.

The next release has most of the Field models found here as an option to select. CHaOS is a tricky mod for the fact that it works well alone, but not well with others activated. I wouldn't touch it right now. I am working on getting its more noticeable features added in the next release as their own category to turn on and off.
How is the next release coming by the way? And how's work as far as school goes?

Catalogs / Re: 7th Heaven Mod Requests - To Do List

Huh, I never really knew that.  Usually I just have it on update automatically. Assuming it'll just be downloading the updates whenever I run it.

35
Alright, I did the switch and when I look at the playback, it only comes up with my TV as the playback output and the HDMI audio outputs which say "not plugged in". I did delete the Registry file before I did the switch and honestly I don't know what could be the issue. It's a Vizio HDTV. xD

36
Based on the issue you are having with the audio drivers, I found what seems to be a fix for me with a similar issue.

I have my soundcard in which my speakers are plugged into, and I have my headset which is USB. I regularly switch between them depending on the time of day/night that I am gaming and whether or not my girlfriend is home. This caused a bit of an issue because the FF7Config only gives you the option to select one output for sound, and re-running the config tool breaks 7th Heaven. There was a workaround provided which involved running the game converter again to redo the config files, but that is time consuming and annoying to do every time you want to switch outputs. It should be as simple as switching the output on the PC (which I have setup through a macro on my keyboard).

So here's what I did to fix the issue:

Start > Run > regedit.exe

From there, go to (this is on a 64bit win 8.1 install) computer > hkey_local_machine > software > wow6432node > square soft, inc. > final fantasy vii > 1.00 > sound

You'll find 4 registry entries here: default, options, sfxvolume, sound_guid

All you have to do is right-click and delete the sound_guid registry entry. This will make ff7.exe check to the PC's active sound output device every time you launch the game. I've tested this on numerous occasions and it always works without issue.

If anyone finds this causes a bug, feel free to correct me.

I tried all of that yesterday, did a fresh install of the game, patched it, did the 7th heaven and started installing the mods I needed. Removed the registry file , tried starting the game from my TV as the main display and still no sound from it.  Just sound from my headphones and when those are unplugged, sound from the computer speakers.

37
I would reinstall the game into C:\Games\Final Fantasy 7. BECAUSE , if you install into a program folder, the computer will control everything, not you. So you'll lose important files for the game. I think.

38
Uh, I think the issue might be related to the fact that you installed in "Program Files."

39
Hm, I will try it out.  I have always wanted to run the game on my TV since I have the proper capabilities now, love the new rig and all it can do. Win 8.1 is what i'm using so this will be interesting. Thank you.

40
What? Seriously?

41
I will look around on it.  I was just testing the Alienware X51 I got on my TV just for fun with multiple displays.

42
The problem there is that I make the switches and it still messes up, I might not be doing it right. e.o  xD The sound driver from my TV's speakers go from Nvidia and my GPU sound driver is Realtek High definition Audio.

43
Well now... Trying to play this on my TV by hooking the HDMI to the GPU,  whenever I start it up, it runs the game normal but only sound from either my headphones or computer speakers.  But when I switch it to run from the TV, it messed it up and the game refuses to run, crashes on startup.

44
Thanks for the info. I just now manually rebinded. I will download the music and sound pack when I return from vacation in 2 weeks. I assume this includes sound effects? The core game has dreadful sound effects.

Also i've never played this game before on PC, grew up playing it on PS1, so one question...

How in the heck do you flee from battle with the keyboard? I didn't see it in the key binding list in the config menu.

When you bind the keys from Page up to page down,  put one key to page up, then the other to page down. Hold them both down to flee. I think.

45
Alrighty, i'll run some research and tests. See what I can come up with.

46
Well when you ran the patch, did you press yes to fix the keypad stuff?

47
Gotcha.

Just played the first battle, I have no music and now that I look at it, the music folder is empty... how did that happen?

The game also won't recognize any inputs outside my numpad, I don't wanna play with the numpad...

Also, my battle UI strongly resembles Final Fantasy IX, I prefer the original look. What mod do I disable to restore the original UI while keeping the sleeker look of everything else like the main menu/dialogue boxes?

And which mod will give me higher quality battle models?

Chaos gives the best looking models while retaining the original view. Except there is no cartoonish view to it if you get the idea. Look in your music settings for VGMstream, install the sound stuff from the catalog.  Or, manually install the music stuff from the latest Anxious Heart mod.

Considering the sleek look, to quote a dude off of Family guy:  There was no way.

48
Oh non no no I just forgot about the admin thing. xD You forget certain things when moving to new stuff.

49
Run it as Admin...OKAY NOW I FORGOT.

50
I wish I knew man. I just went from Windows 7 to Windows 8.1 with my new Dell Alienware X51 R2.  it's a challenge all on it's own. Thankfully I gots me 16 GB of ram, I7 quad core processor, Nvidia GTX 960 .   Can't beat that for a stock when the ratings are from 8.3 to 8.5.
