Where are you getting the Bootleg content from? There's a torrent over on the Tifa's Bootleg thread, should be quicker that way.

52
Do you have a favorite character, town, scene, enemy, magic attack, or limit break? Maybe not even your favorite, but something that has meaning to you, like a boss that you just couldn't beat when you were younger, or a town or building that has some special memory attached to it. Since general form and colour are really important in abstract, maybe something colourful like the gold saucer fireworks scene, or an Ultima attack, or Cloud's Omnislash? I'm just shooting ideas of what I'd try and do lol.

Ahh, I lost my train of thought, will edit this *if* I can think what I was talking about XD. Art class was a long time ago now =_=

Where are you gathering the battle sounds from? (Voice clips and such)

Oh man, I'm saving that song for later. I'm thinking a valentines day prank... eh, plenty of time.

There is something about the "Yes" or "No" options that don't make what they represent immediately clear.

Eg: "Stop your yappin'!" vs "I'll forgive you... this time" - it takes a few seconds to decide which one is in the affirmative, and which one is not. Intentional?

56
Is... is this tested that it no longer works? It seems really strange that they'd disable support for older versions of DirectX...

Is there any scoring difference in G-Bike between the PSX and PC versions?

Also, I imagine lasers going "PEW PEW" not "PHEW PHEW". They aren't sighing from relief at all...

Other then that, seems to be making the absolute best of some shonky dialogue!

Troubleshooting / Re: Chocobo patch for android?

I don't know why the Chocobo patch would be needed for an emulated version of the PSX version of the game...

Completely Unrelated / Re: FF7 vs. Ocarina of Time
« on: 2013-01-20 10:41:14 »
I think Majora's Mask gives FF7 a much better run for its money. But Ocarina...

Zelda always tells a very simple detailed story, but Final Fantasy *usually* tells a complex multi-faceted story with deeper character development and a much larger experience overall. Interesting argument to have, though.

See Tifa's Bootleg thread for a detailed run-down of installing mods using PitBrat's installer, as well as the relevant links to downloads.

I think I'll be agreeing with the trends so far - SS96 is best, SS48 is also really nice.

Are you going to disperse the shadows any further like they were in the original, or keep them well defined?

63
In the MotionInJoy DS3 configurator, change the controller type from "Playstation 3" to "Playstation 1" - fixes it right up.

64
Good point. Looking back on what I've done so far, most of the time the LOOPLENGTH was just to the end of the file anyways...

Halves the work, so I'll just stop that. Thanks for the replies!

65
OK, I've just been fiddling around tonight and I've looped two tracks. Picked 'em as I have the .wav sources that the tracks are based on already.

aseri.logg
aseri2.logg

Let me know what you think, and I'll either keep going or redo.

I also exported them at 192VBR instead of 128, gives it a little more depth. At least, I think it does. Yet again, let me know.

66
That's pretty much all I'm doing at the moment. Now that I've got my terminology right, was hoping there was a way to set a marker in Adobe Audition as a LOOPSTART point, but since I'd have to set LOOPLENGTH separately, kinda pointless. Thanks DPLB, at least I now know what I'm doing is right :P

Support / Programs for setting loop points in .logg format
« on: 2012-12-17 05:52:31 »

So at the moment, I'm just setting the loop points manually using a tag editor, but is it possible from within an audio editing suite? I currently use Adobe Audition 3.0, but I have access to Avid through uni, and can always jump onto another program if need be.

Thanks for any help!

68
OK, awesome - I'll take a look and see if I can't make these loops a little more seamless.

69
Tenko: Is there a track listing of which music tracks you've substituted for which in the game, or is it too many changes and additions to easily list?

In the install of Nightmare I'm (attempting) to play (I can't even get past Scorpion Guard =_=), some of the loops are a bit funny, and I'd like to have a go and making them loop a little better if I could.

70
I'm interested - are you simply recording the direct audio-chip output (through an emulator, but same principal) with the SFX disabled? Or is there some kind of further enhancement you're applying?

I was having issues with certain browsers and Google Docs (ironically, I think it was Chrome having the issue)

Maybe try downloading using a different browser?

That lighting is awful! D:
Choreography was alright, 'spose.

73
OK, I've gotten a re-producible crash in the first reactor. Happens when the game attempts to enter a battle against enemy SPAA on the pipe above the save point. I've installed Nightmare using the .040RC version of Bootleg, so this may in actual fact be a Bootleg issue.

More then anything, it looks promising. Definitely has the Kojima stamp all over it.

I tweeted at you, Tenko, but just in case it doesn't reach you, the files for the OST (parts 2 and 3) have been taken down from Billion and Mediafire now. Do you, or any other resourceful members, have another source available?
