Title: FF8 Improvements

Hello everybody!
I was looking for text editor for FF8 and found this forum. It's just great!
After an hour of instant search I've downloaded some files and gained some questions, here they are:

- Are there any re-texture or re-modeling packs for this game?
- Can you advise me any program, with which I'll be able to translate FF8 on Russian?
I've tried Garden, but it doesn't support Russian. I'm not a programmer, so I cannot modify it  :-(

Hello, and welcome to the forums :-)
As for your questions, I seem to recall a while back someone on the forums used 3dsmax to re-texture Edea in FF8, although I'm no sure how easy that would have been, seeing as I'm useless at re-texturing, I tried before and it went horribly wrong. :-(

As for translation, I'm sure there must be something, I'll just wait for one f the more experienced forum members to tell you if there's any.

P.S.  There was, as far as I can see, nothing wrong with your spelling or grammar.  Perhaps even better than some of our native English speakers on here. :-)

Thank you for the answer. As I understand there is no re-texture pack or it's analogue. Ok, I'm more or less satisfied with the launcher I've found here.
But still there are some questions:
- How can I print russian text in Garden.exe?
- Is there another program to do it?

Also I've tried to download "right" .gpr file (Garden's profile), but the link was broken.

- Can somebody send it to "woofy(a)inbox.ru" or give any working link to the "right" .gpr file?

Только я вот не понимаю, зачем тебе надо на РУС переводить если есть уже РУС от Фаргуса или ты хочешь подправить перевод? :?

Something like:
From all that information I see that there is no such program. What I don't understand is why you need to translate (it) into RUS when there already is a RUS (translation) from Fargus, or maybe you want to improve the translation?

The last sentence I don't understand. Looks like an idiom :)

Наверное просто ему не понравился этот "пириводъ". Фаргус почти все игры так переводит. :-)

Если честно, там там действительно есть огрехи и конечно было бы не плохо их пофиксить.

Ты, кстати, не в курсе где можно прогу для этого найти. Я че-т искал и кроме мертвых линков так ничего и не нашел :-(

ЗЫ Нашел Омегу. Но вот токо проблема. Вытащил ТЕХ. Сделал конверкт Омегой, получил бмп, который ничем нельзя отредактировать\открыть.

Ok. Let it be English, 'cos each of you understand it more or less))

So. 1) I really hate Russian translation ("пириводъ"  :roll:), we already have)
2) As I said, I didn't find anything. I looked through this and some russian websites. Nothing useful at all  :-(
3) I've downloaded source-file of Garden.exe and now trying to edit it with Borland Developer Studio 2006 )) I donno any program language but HTML... Nevertheless I'll try to compile it with Russian support)

PS. Я тоже качал омегу и тоже заходил в тупик) Без малейшего понятия, что делать с текстурами)

А у меня все получилось. Скачал Омегу, вытащил *.tex-файл из игры, переконвертирвал в *.bmp и... и редактировал Пэинтом :-P :-D
