A few Questions.
« on: 2014-08-01 18:35:04 »
Hello, trying to play a game of FFVII here and I had a few questions for ya.

1) The new driver got rid of "break 9,999 limit" how do I go about implementing it back into the game?

2) How do I just remove the borders around the dialog boxes? I did it once before but to lazy to research how.

Thanks all!

Edit: These questions really apply to all versions of the game but I am using the Steam converted copy. But I can use the 98' version I just need to get off my lazy butt and find it.

Ochu can probably do it.  Not positive though.  Also welcome back.

Borders can be removed by nopping the function that draws them.  I forget which that is.  You could then edit exe, or just use HextLaunch.

The 9999 patch can be placed back by using the Menu Overhaul from Reunion. It's also possible to use Dziugo's original Yamp patch.  And HextLaunch could do it easily too, if someone has the time to create a hext file based on Dziugo's changes,.

Thanks, I was reluctant to use Reunion (that version anyway) hear though text that it has issues. But I'll use it, I like those menus to. T'anks.

R01 is fine and dandy for everything but retranslation, and R02 is hopefully right around the bend to fix that.

Reunion has no issues if you don't select Re-translation option.  That's the only thing that has a small issue until R02.
