Post your scores, I only get around 1000 on 720p with an overclocked 9500GT, need to update!

Haha, just tried on my PC which I assume is far better than my laptop, and it only got around 500/600 points (I forgot exactly how many). Not that I'll be playing XIV anyway.
I don't know if it deducts points for crappy monitors though, the resolution on this thing is only 1024x768.

1375 on high-res.

Meh, it's not a gaming PC and I wasn't planning to play FFXIV anyway... :?

EDIT:

2591 on sh*t-res. I suppose that's OK

EDIT2:

Since everyone is posting their specs: 5670 with an i5 750 on stock (I do plan to OC at some point, but I haven't got around to it yet).

I only have 4GB of RAM, and I wonder whether that may be an issue; I've heard rumours of FFXIV needing 8GB of RAM, but I haven't really heard of games being memory hogs anywhere else, so I'm sceptical (mind you, I know little of PC gaming...)

720p: 2644
1080p: 1490

1080 stuttered pretty bad, I almost think the benchmark doesn't use SLI. ME2 runs on max settings with no stutter at all. Either that or FFXIV is gonna have serious graphics

EDIT: this was on two 9800gt's in SLI standard clock rates

I got 2099 on low (720p)

And 1340 on high (1080p)

My graphics card is a Geforce 9600 GSO with these settings

not bad for this card (i was expecting lower, especially when i saw Timber's results) especially since its only a 384MB card and an original PCI-E (i mean its not PCI-E 2.0).

Not that I'll be playing XIV anyway.
I also won't be playing XIV, i disliked the other FF online games and this looks just as bad.

Interesting. Looking only at specs, my PC should really blow yours out of the water, and yet it only slightly outperforms it on HD...

Also, everytime I click on an image on these forums that's hosted at imageshack, my Rin facepalm pic shows up on the list of related images. lol

This benchmark seems to be very CPU dependent. Even tho the game looked really fluid I only got around 1650 points 'cause my CPU is 2. something years old mainly. (AMD 2.3GHz dual-core with ATI5770 1GB here)

I can almost bet the the quad-core users will get a way higher score even with a slightly slower GPU.

My score proves you wrong ;D

Unless your 1650 was on low-res...

Yeah the low res seems to be more dependant on CPU.

I've heard rumours of FFXIV needing 8GB of RAM, but I haven't really heard of games being memory hogs anywhere else, so I'm sceptical (mind you, I know little of PC gaming...)

Whoa that is one crazy rumour! You are right to be sceptical, it isn't true, 2GB RAM is easily enough.

That could be the case on low res, I have a quadcore and got 2600.

Kudistos, Whats your GPU?

I told you earlier (by which I mean I edited my post 8) ) Radeon 5670. Not really a proper gaming card. Or a proper anything card. I Jack-of-all-trades that was suitable for my budget, maybe

For having dx11 i hate you! *buys a 480gtx* muwahahaha!

anyway, 8gb of RAM for FFXIV?!? if thats the case it'd have to be 64bit only.. max it can have allocated is 2GB on a 32bit machine. 3gb or 3.5gb on 64bit (unless it is native 64 bit)

"System Requirements

SquareEnix has stated that the PC version of Final Fantasy XIV will likely need a fairly powerful computer. The Final Fantasy XIV community expects the minimum system requirements to be similar to The Last Remnant, which are as follows:

    * CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo (2GHz) \ AMD Athlon X2 (2GHz)
    * RAM: 1.5 GB Ram
    * Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce 8600 VRAM 256 MB or equivalent

We will have to wait until we hear more from SquareEnix to confirm the information, likely as the beta version of Final Fantasy XIV (PC) gets dated.

The Playstation 3 version will most likely require 10GB or more hard drive space. The Xbox 360 version has not yet been confirmed, but would no doubt require the same amount of space."

Take with a gain of salt and assume it's minimum.

Out of curiosity I went to my big TV and ran the benchmark at High-res (1920x1080), and the result was... 1708, actually more than in low res. o.O
The game was still very fluid during all the areas except for the first one where it didn't look perfect.

This benchmark is a little dumb...

Oh, and for the record this machine has only 2GB of DDR2 800 RAM, more than enough to run every game I ever player, and its running Windows XP SP3 32bit.

Better get some decent cooling for that thing. And a 1000W PSU ;D

The benchmark test suggest that this is ridiculous, unless you're going to play it at 320x240 ;D

Then again, minimum specs are nearly always lies... :P

1200watt and liquid cooling! (only in my dreams....)

Yeah, i only listen to recommended specs when it comes to games, and that's their minimum to me.

The new Nvidia cards need a nuclear power plant to power them (why do you think they were named after Fermi) and liquid nitrogen cooling to stop them overheating. ;D It's true because people on 4chan said so

Yeah, i only listen to recommended specs when it comes to games, and that's their minimum to me.

Yeah, even then they're often a little optimistic

720p: 2312
1080p: 1619

nVidia GeForce 9800 GT 512MB
Intel Core 2 Duo E7300 2.6GHz
4GB DDR2 RAM

However, by the time this comes out, I'll have a better system, going to upgrade this fall. Also, I'm not gonna get it anyway because I refuse to pay a monthly fee for a game.

Does Not Run Properly on wine, get flickering at first then when it starts i get just random colors for about 2 seconds then black and it stops (idk is it showing me the stats? there). it;s prolly due to me not having something in my wine prefix (dx9 is about all it has).
