You're running on Intel HD Graphics, which can't handle most of the graphical mods. If you have a dedicated GPU with at least 512MB, then you need to set a profile for FF7 to run with it.

I cant believe this hasnt been mentioned already but I'm playing this on a Wii emulator right now:

Xenoblade (Chronicles)

It seriously is on a Final Fantasy level to me! It is a bit like FF12 but I have a way more FF6 feeling with this game! :) I DO recommend all of you to start investing 100+ hours of your lives into this game! :P

Good. Let the ISP's handle it. They could eventually accuse innocent people and start dealing with lawsuits.

And another shout out to The Walking Dead. It's honestly more of an interactive movie than a game, but it's so good completely and utterly 100% absolutely amazing at it that I will let that slide. Seriously, the best written characters I've ever seen in anything, let alone a video game.

yes, Yes, YES! I can't wait for episodes 6-10  ;D

The save point crashed for me. The other 3 incidents didn't have any crashes. I tried 3 times.

2734
Do I need to start my own playthrough from the beginning, or is it possible to use someone's unscathed save?

If memory serves me correct, the Laguna part is that dream area? I have never played fully through FF8.

Bootleg Questions / Re: [Tutorial] Tifa's Bootleg

Sigh, I'm so forgetful sometimes. It probably is the Any CD Loader.

Look at Step 3 and find the image for the Game tab. There is a check box there for the Any CD Loader.

2736
EDIT2: I think I've found the problem regarding the FMV issue. I didn't realise Bootleg was being told to go look for the movies in an empty folder so I'm copying all the movies files from the CD over to the folder to see if that sorts it. I would just download the enhanced versions but whenever I try the links given by Bootleg all I get is a 505 error from Google.

You need to choose Maximum Installation when installing the game. This will install the FMV's to your hard drive.

The game can be played all the way through with the virtual FF7DISC1. No other disk mounts are required. If you were able to play up to Forgotten City, then your OS and mounting program appear working. Sooo, I am unsure what else to say  :-\

Perhaps someone else may respond.

You need to use the Mount feature in Step 10.

Okay, good. I only wanted to know if the old formula's still applied. I knew the attack power was lowered, but that doesn't matter in this case.

I like playing around with Powersoul and Master Fist for Tifa as well.

Vgr,

Tifa's Package mistakenly has 1.0.5 and 1.0.6 in it. I checked my Bootleg.log though, and it installs 1.0.6 properly, so it should be the latest version.

Here's the torrent. I didn't think to ask if you meant wanting them as two separate torrents. Let me know if that's the case, and I'll remake them.

The oog_music link needs to be updated btw: http://forums.qhimm.com/index.php?topic=12787.msg187399#msg187399

Okay, so I finally got everything to work in the Bootleg 40 mod, but I still have one major error. The transparent HP/MP/Limit/Wait HUD is all jumbled up, and I don't know why or how to fix it. Any thoughts?

Uncheck "Break Limit 9999" in Bootloader Configure.

I've decided I'm no longer satisfied with the incomplete work of the battlegrounds in the game, so I'd like to take a stab at these on my own. My references and inspiration are coming from these threads:

http://forums.qhimm.com/index.php?topic=11036.0
http://forums.qhimm.com/index.php?topic=11542.msg159568#msg159568
http://forums.qhimm.com/index.php?topic=10251.0

I don't know anything about how their work is done, so I'll take any advice and help at this point. I'm looking for basic questions to be answered:

1. Where are the battle scenes located? (referencing this: http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/User:JBed/FFVII/Battlegrounds)
2. What tool(s) is/are used to pull and convert to PNG usage?
3. Is Adobe Photoshop good software for this kind of work?
4. What other software may be needed? Plugins? (depending on answers, money may be an issue)
5. Are there any basic tutorials or guides I can read for learning how to edit these backgrounds using given software?
6. What else may I be missing based on the work of the references above?

So, I welcome anyone who can provide a good jump start for me. I don't have any project goals or timeframes at the moment. I just want to see what I can do, and at the very least, learn the process for how it's done. The editing skills are going to be the biggest learning curve I believe, but we all have to start somewhere. If I can learn how to start, then I'll be excited and motivated enough to learn how to finish  :)

Oh, I meant the main character's Ultimate Weapons.

2745
Forgive me if this has been stated here already or stashed away in a read-me, but I am short on time to go searching. I just want to ask if the Ultimate Weapons have been changed in any way?

Thank you for your response EQ2Alyza.

I found and executed the ff7music, and followed the steps of the tutorial from there. Still, no sound.

As an impatient child, I just took the route of uninstalling/deleting everything (save for bootleg040 and Tifa's bootleg files), and am in the process of doing everything again. I'm not sure where I went wrong - I'm hoping it's just some computer voodoo. I'll let you know how I get on.

Also, every file I got was a link from this exact thread/tutorial.

Edit: I again want to reiterate that everything else worked perfectly fine, and there was movie and menu sound - just no battle sound or soundtrack in the background.

Computer voodoo would be nice. I actually played last night, and when I started up the game I had no music. The sound effects and FMV's could be heard. So, I reboot my computer and it un-voodoo'd itself. I'm not a computer guru, but I've used Bootleg long enough to never have that happen before. I can't explain why the reboot gave me back the music. Now, I reboot my computer every time before I start the game.

jinrok,

Please screenshot all the tabs in your BFE.exe, upload them somewhere, and send them to me in a PM.

Thank you to everyone who worked on this. I really appreciate all the time and effort. That being said, I have failed to install these mods properly. My problems are thus, and in the order they occurred:

1. The "Graphics Tab" never came up and asked me "enable the Aali's Custom Graphics Driver". Obviously, this did not allow me to check the proper sound tab as well.

2. I got an error message during the music installation that read:

3. FF7Music 1.51.13 Setup
    Installer corrupted: invalid opcode

4. The "Installing FF7 Music" never happened as well.

All of these things occurred in the Guides' step 9. Other than having no music (in or outside of battle) everything runs perfectly
smooth. When I click on "ff7music_install_15113.exe" I get the error code I mentioned in 3. I read on the forums that there are some known problems with 15113, and the fix is to run 15112. Am I correct in assuming this? If so, where can I find 15112?

I feel it is worth mentioning I installed this in D:\ not C:\, because all of the recommended paths are in C:\ - however I don't see this being a problem if I pathed everything correctly.

Thanks in advanced, this is a great community and I'm glad I found it.

1. You can still access these features by opening FF7Config.exe in the main installation folder.

2/3/4. The installer isn't corrupt. Where did you download your 15113 version? Is OSTRe.7z downloaded as well? You can find the 15112 version by opening the Mod Listing in BFE.exe and clicking the download link. Or, you can visit here and look for it in the Sound and Music section: http://forums.qhimm.com/index.php?topic=12503.0

The driver letter doesn't matter, so long as the game isn't installed in a systems folder on your main OS drive. Your D:\ is fine.

Yes Terrified. I'm looking into it.

Can you post a screenshot of your error message, or type it out exactly as it states.

Are you playing the Hardcore Difficulty mod?

Here is how I did Floor 65. It did not require gathering the last piece or fighting its boss (I believe this is a Hardcore Difficulty feature?): www.youtube.com/watch?v=16T4eWYFUfE#t=51m28s

Same here. All links I've found are broken as well. Let me see if I can get a hold of it from UGerstl.
