videos come to mind with hacks in which there are 3 sephiroths in the party... you could have it so with tifa in cissnei n the party its technically just 2 tifas? i guess.. not sure. dunno if thats any help to you, but good luck. At some point later in feb maybe i can model you a cissnei fer battle.

i'd actually suggest against running from every battle... it'd give a more realistic set of saves if you fought whatever you run into, but never try to grind. just make sure you cover the proper path. as to the cross dressing, i say ye should get all the items (looks kooler at the end imo, all the key items)

as to the text, i beleive it was just exposition to give demo players an idea of whats going on. that sort of thing isnt necessary in the full game.

i first encountered ff with ff8, as my brother in law came over as he had just rented it (it had come out several days prior) and i played it with him. later i bought it, n by the time i was botu 2 discs through that, he came by n was like.. wtf you havnt played 7? so i get a hold of it n it blew my mind... despite the graphics, it easily tore me away from 8. I found it much more gripping and fun (ff8 gameplay drives me nuts). i recall the first time i playd my sis n i ran through the midgar segment and the disc got stuck at the flashback, and would crash at the scene with sephirtoh stepping into the flames. being about 8 years old at the time the shot of the mako monster and headless jenova creeped me out quite a bit. despite that i was greatly entertained.

'm just putting out ideas to thicken the list of stuff that could be modified. as to the element thing, he had shiva also giving barrier it hink, ifrit giving haste, to whatever it hit, having drawbacks. i was thinking to give magic the same thing, just with a lesser chance. dunno if its doable.

particularly from the pic with 6 shots, the one on the bottom right, the legs look off, perhaps raising the body from the groin peice upwards and leavin the legs where they are (just a small heigh adjustment) could help. also the hands in the casting pose like strange on the inside.

thinkin of adjustments so i figure i'll list whatever i can think of:
-midgar zolom normal attacks - chance to poison
-elemental spells should have the same kinda of adjusments as some of the summons, just at a much lower chance, (summons 100% if possible.. spells maybe 20%) - eg
ice spells have a chance of slowing and casting barrier on enemies (small chance)
-most attacks that have some kind of a smoke animation should have a chance to cause one of darkness silence sleep stop poison er petrify depending on the attack/context (by context i mean the point in the game... earlier sleep, later silence/dark, then petrify or stop)
-have more attacks connected wtih elements - i beleive some explosives were considered physical, where it might make more sense as fire... though i may be wrong, i never used items much.
-more elemental weaknesses/strengths (be more strategic with your magic, making sure to use the right one, adding a little more use to sense... dunno i never used it)
-a little more oomph from limit breaks.. extra damage... and lvl 4 limits should have a break damage limit (made all those characters whose lvl 4 was one hit seem rather weak.

can't think of anything off hand but i'll continue adding thoughts... take what you like, leave what you don't

do make it particularly interesting, you'd have to rework everything form equipment to monster abilities, probably ai as well, to stats... it'd be a fair ton of work. otherwise i imagine it'd feel very modlike, n not as smooth as can be.

if it not too late fer you to switch disciplines, i suggest you work double hard to figure out what you wanna do. yer best off trying to do what you have fun with, as you'll do better at it and thus be more succesful than strugling through something you dont really enjoy. dont think bout keepin the fun fer hobbies... do yer hobbies fer a living. make your place.

i have no idea, but something to consider is the plausibilitiy of which monsters cause what stat fx, eg why would the guard scorpion cause poison? maybe stop if he did his tail attack, or darkness with search scope... things that fit in well. I do agree that jenova could be harder. also safer seph could be harder... however although super nova ends up not being very powerful, its main purpose is to scare players that dont get the system. Say you had all yer characters with 9999 hp, you'd sudenly have a fraction of it and get loaded with a bunch of statuses. Anyhow, find out what could be done about it, and make a plan about what changes you'd make, to get feedback. i think you can do this with some of the editors.. i beleive there is a monster attack editor, and one that can edit their hp etc, but i may be wrong.

looks pretty good, the face works rly well ingame. i'm not an expert at sticking models in the game, but frmo the victory stance i can see that the arm goes too far back in that shot.. duno what can be done to fix that, as the position seems fine in the omnislash shot... also what do you mean about barrets beard?

i know its a lot, but i'd suggest you try to do other characters if ever you can find a little time, even if it wouldnt be done for a long time. One awesome model deserves a cast of characters :P.
If you can't its understandable, but even if in many months or a year er more, it'd be nice to see more characters released.

i mostly do character modeling, but i could easily do some environments, and i animate as well.. my weakpoint is texturing. anyhow add me on msn n gimme an idea of what you want

what exactly do you mean by sample work? All the modeling you really need to do is to make a zack battle model. if you want to keep it in line iwth the original graphics or beef it up that might change things a slight bit... but its mostly just a headswap of cloud...

I'd actually take out the praying view... thats really from the death scene. look for an empty (logoless) opening.. not sure if one of em is like that... if so make yer own logo with transperency and overlay the video with it

video is okay, i'd suggest swappin the original ff7 title with the tech demo.. if you dont mind the tech demo subtitle... i could ask my friend (much better editor than me) how viable it'd be to mask that and find a way around that part of the title, or to make a custom title and put it over the cc secret ending (i think its just a wide shot of midgar). also, next time cut the video when yer done... i know audio tracks will keep the video goin with black until its done, but you can cut that. As to the ending movie... maybe with a lot of convincing and free time i'd model and animate it fer ye.. but no promises... i'd probably be lazy and only ever change the scenes that you see cloud. at the same time... don't get excited. I'm tight on time

bring the outter tips of his eyebrows down a bit, its a bit too extreme.. good texture job, but i'd say that the skin is too cold.. warm up the colors a bit.. more orangey.

maybe thin his nose as well?
