Thanks for the reply EQ2Alyza :) Well I installed once more the steam version and grabbed the ogg files from it :) I guess getting the steam version proved to be a good thing after all, even for this, since trying to add 7th Heaven gave me trouble compared to my original game. Honestly I do not find it to be a problem, since 7th heaven has the Original OST and so many other choices. I was just making sure that this error would not mean something else.

Have an wonderful day, an awesome week and take care :D

The game like I say works fine. All mods works normally and I have no problem, up to now. Using the clean registry patch fixed any problem I was having. During though the patching with the FF7 GameConverter, I am getting an error right after I specify the movies folder, be it I use "" or not. The error is "The system can not find the file specified".

Spoiler: show

I am guessing it is not the movies, since if I play without the modded movies, the movies work fine. If anything, the music does not work if I do not use the mods and it even shows those red letters, saying it can't find the music.

If anything everything work perfectly, so I am not sure if that error affects anything. In the log I do not even see that message.

7th Heaven / Re: mod issues
« on: 2016-01-18 17:51:38 »
If you have many mods you can try to test them. Save somewhere where a battle is close and then go back and forth activating and deactivating groups of mods. Eventually you will find the group of mods that causes that and you can try that group of mods one by one to see which is the culprit.

4
It happens only when specific options from mods are turned on. The first one is one that existed since before, which is the Gameplay - Tweaks and Cheats option; Skip Cutscenes. That is a minor one.

Another is the Animations Option; 60 FPS Battles. That is a minor one too.

The last one which crashes for me is The Reunion - Beacause and Menu Overhaul. It does not matter if I choose only Menu Overhaul or both of them, the game starts with a crash. Just ot make sure I deactivated all mods except Beacause  and Menu Overhaul and tried them with their respective exe files mo and bc. Just to be 100% sure, I tried both by renaming the mo and bc ff7 exes to just ff7 and by choosing the correct ff7 exe in the workshop settings. I tried them without changing any other option in The Reunion.

The game converter I used was downloaded on 16-01-16 (yesterday).

Indeed there is a txt for that. Also I thought you meant the message popped in the difficulty and not in the Beacause - Menu Overhaul one. Ok now I finally get it XD :) Thanks once more a lot for al lthe replies and the help!

You do? As in the text that explains the option and what it does you mean? If you mean that, there are no descriptions weirdly in the difficulty options. I remember what they do, but I think I remember the difficulties used to have descriptions. Now it is blank. So if you mean the description mentions it, at least for me it does not. The rest of the mods have normally the descriptions and they mention if they disable something for compatibility.

Ah I see. I think it is because when such a thing happened before, a warning appeared, so since I did not see one here, I did not think to check. >.< Sorry for that. Btw, really nice how now mod are interacting with each other, making sure the user does not make mistakes :) Thanks a lot for the answer and the features!

Thanks for the reply walkinghawking. The only one I care for is Scene Redux honestly, which is as I remember the one I used to alter the loot. I really prefer stealing over randomly trying my luck.  So I am guessing sine I am using Beacause I will use the + The Reunion option. I will keep in mind though that if I will use a difficulty option that gets me locked up, I will turn off Beacause and try, and after turn it back on. Thank you so much for the help :)

7th Heaven / A question about The Reunion.
« on: 2016-01-16 12:32:35 »
Hello there and sorry if the answer is way too obvious. I am about to start a new game and it will include  Beacause now. My question comes from the difficulty mod. Obviously since I am using some of the Reunion parts, I am guessing that I should choose; [One of the difficulty offered] + The Reunion. But I want to make sure that this is what i should choose, because from another point of view it feels I am choosing the difficulty I want + all The Reunion changes that it offers a not just compatibility with it. Sorry if it is explained somewhere and I did not see it.

Steam is evil (sorry I hate it XD), but not that evil. When Installing steam you can choose in which folder you want steam to be added. I do not know how many games you have currently downloaded, but to avoid bugs and glitches with games, it is better to uninstall everything and reinstall steam. When it asks you for destination folder just choose, C:\Games\Steam and it will work fine. I know this was needed by Skyrim when it was giving me a pain in my neck while trying to mod it through Nexus and not the Steam workshop.

7th Heaven / Re: need help with 7th heaven setup
« on: 2016-01-07 05:08:58 »
Liek the guide said, you can either use the blank iso or rename a USB drive or hard drive to FF7DISC1. The converter and in extension the game, just needs to have a drive called that, so it can virtually see that the CD is inside your drive. I never tried leaving the CD inside, but I am guessing it would work if you did. Would give you a feeling of the past, when disc would keep spinning while we played games XD

I never player vanilla after I found bootleg/7th Heaven. I never had a problem with the game because of 7th Heaven. I did have problems running the game, but it was a bad configuration on my side. At least on windows 7 I do NOT set any compatibility options, when using 7th heaven that is. I did that only way way in the past when playing the game vanilla, without mods. Like Yuffie said, sometimes the converter throws errors. Better pay close attention to it.

I have 10 gb of ram with 9.75 gb usable. I should probably explain the lag more, I tried a few different things, not having texture mods on, and not having model mods on. The last thing i did was only have cheats on, yet it still lagged as much as before. It would lag more if i had it in full screen and less (though only a little less) when i had it in windowed mode. Guess i should have been more detailed when i first asked.

10GB? Does that means yoru rams are not paired to be alike? As in if you have 2 be 4+4 or if you have 4 rams 2+2+2+2? With 10 GB I do not think you are running your ram in dual channel, which will probably make your rams quite slower too. It happens when rams are not pairs together to be the same with each other.

As for your PC definitely GPU. CPU would mean you would have to take everything. Motherboard, CPU and rams. GPU can go by itself, not to mention at least for FF7 you do not need a good GPU.

Older games, meaning before 2008-10, did not ask much from CPU except the games that had real time shadows, which you could turn to low or off. So your CPU can make it if you do not play newer CPU intensive games. If you get a GPU though, do not get a really cheap one. I have a PC that has an inter that more or less has the same power as your Athlon and a good old GPU and it can play new games like SIMS 4 or whatnot.

Go here and check whats the cheapest best you can afford. Your current GPU is at the bottom of Low to Mid Range. http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/

It is definitely worth waiting for sure :3 That Beacause. I really want to see how it feels to be conglaturated in the end :3 *waves to  EQ2Alyza* Thank you as always for your work :D

Little question.
A group of French FFVII fans made a total french retranslation in fr of the game. The patch is an installer, who alters ff7.exe

I use a 7H working fine install of the game.
I think it's uncompatible, but if I try to run this exe, will 7H continue to work ?

The sure is Beacause did not work that way. I tried some ways to install the English retranslation without success. Altering the FF7.exe messes things up for sure.

As a sidenote, at least up to the point i tested and not including Red Werewolf which I did not test, everything works afar from Menu Overhaul and in the Tweaks and Cheats the "Skip Cutscene" option. I never checked the actual cheats from it though onl the tweeks so I do not know about invincible, lucky Cait Sith and Tifa or no Random battles and Save anywhere. Also in gameplay the only one I used was Scene Redux. But from the rest everything seemed to work nicely.

Also the only glitch I found was that if you load the Battle Models-Weapons before the Battle Models-Characters, Cloud will not have his shoulderguard in battles. Loading them the other way fixed that though.

I only have 1 question since its the only problem I have everything else works perfectly fine.
Does anybody know how to get the Media-Movies to work? I re downloaded it and nothing seems to work besides the original
chibi fmv. If I select other options nothing changes while activated

Only because you mentioned the Chibi part, I think only DrLilo's video replaces that. Afar from that what I can think is that you chose the wrong video folder, be it while installing the Game Converter of 7th Heaven or on the 7th Heaven settings. Like for example once the converted by itself decided to default the movies folder to C:\Games\Final Fantasy VII\movies\ (I think I pressed enter instead of choosing my own folder) and not in C:\Games\Final Fantasy VII\data\movies\ where I wanted it.

My suggestion is to move the actual original movie files out of the game folder and in a temporary folder and then create a movies folder on both the main game folder and in the data folder. Then try to change the option in settings and try both folders. Also in case you wonder "what about the original video files?", these are not needed at all if you are using Media-Movies.

Catalogs / Re: 7th Heaven Mod Requests - To Do List

Be it you manage to achieve it or not, what you have already done is awesome. I never expected I could start the game playing it with so little work. The interface is wonderful and customization as easy as ticking boxes. Mere words can't express enough the gratefulness for your effort and of course the effort of everyone that loves this game and did their best to make it look better!

I only wanted to request something that has been requested already which is the Retranslation mod. I would really love to see how the real dialogues were XD Thank you for all the hard work EQ2Alyza. Thanks to you I am enjoying a really nice Final Fantasy and the modding was totally easy.

Hello to everyone and I hope everyone is well. I have been wanting to play FF7 and after a failed PSN attempt to play the game I thought of trying Bootleg again. With the bootleg frontend I tried twice to install the game but the presents I used made the main characters look all cool looking or mixed on the second time and the rest of the characters in the world were plain and simple. I did enjoy the character quality but after fighting some people in game it felt so weird that everything else looked so plain and my characters felt like aliens.

I am about to use the default present and only change the Player character models to be all of them PRP in the field and choose the battle ones to at least match in quality.

Can anyone suggest what would be the best options to choose? In the base models I would choose the PRP but it says chibi so I am guessing it will make all field characters small.

There are so many options to choose from but at least I do not want the game to look inconsistent.

-Edit-
I posted this without looking at any new threads first. My mistake, I am sorry. Seems like there is an easy way of modding FFVII now called 7th Heaven. I am sorry again for the redundant post.
