Hi I am Magochocobo I decided made a enhancement some battle scenarios.
I made Three packs with improved textures for the battles.

pack 1/1.5/2: The links between MediaFire and MegaUpload are interchangeable.
That means, if one link goes down or the download speed is terrible
slow you can use the other host.
pack 3: The links between MediaFire and MegaUpload are not interchangeable.
For decompressing, only the "magochocobo_ff7pack3.part1.rar" file
must be selected.
If you use the Bootleg installer from PitBrat, you don't have to decompress the files.

Looks realy good ^^ Here are the instuctions for aali driver:
1)In ff7_opengl.cfg change show_missing_textures = yes
2)Play to the needed battle scene
3)In APP.LOG an entry like "INFO: tried to load C:\Program Files (x86)\Square Soft, Inc.\Final Fantasy VII\/mods/none/battle/STAGE03_T01_00.png, failed"
4)mods/none/battle/ - path you need to create
5)Then you copy there your textures and rename it acoording to APP.LOG (STAGE03_T00_00.png,STAGE03_T01_00.png etc.)

As far as I know, nothing should now keep you from doing the same as Felix Leonhart (ie, distributing .PNG files as opposed to LGP files), because my problem is fixed ^^
In other words, you can ignore my above post (and even this one :P ).

Looks great too ! Good works. I will test it too thanks. 10 battle scenes (Felix_Leonheart) + 9 battle scenes (Mago Chocobo) it's a good start ^^ Again thanks to you :)
PS : Arf, have to do that on my LGP file ^^ I agree with Armorvil, PNG files like did Felix_Leonheart is a way easier to use ^^ Anyway I know how to do it so I'll try ! :)

you could also just use direct mode to test them instead

When I was trying to make FL's battle scenes work yesterday, I tried Direct mode, and it didn't work better.

well FL has specifically designed his textures to use the mod path. You only use direct mode if the files are identical format and name as they would be inside the corresponding lpg so mago's would work in direct mode as long as they are .tex format but fl's won't because he named them according to the mod path and no accord to the lgp. Hope that made sense

I upload a png files version for the aaali driver.
I need a save data in the corel prision for rename the texture files of the area.

There is another method to get the number of the scene. With Zangan open battle.lgp and "count" your scene. If your scene is third then it's names will be STAGE03_T00_00, STAGE03_T01_00, STAGE03_T02_00....

Thanks Magochocobo for the option you are pourposing to users : PNG files or TEX files for LGP. Pretty Cool ! Just want to thanks for the PNG :)
Edit : Having issues when trying to download the first part of PNG Files : using JDownloader don't resolve the issue .... the file seems online but always having a timed out connection ... will try later.

Alt hosting would be nice, Megaupload craps out now and again.

For the final battle it's only the vortex and not the battle scene ... but maybe I can do it ...

What's up with your two battle screenshots? One of them has a nice border but the other one doesn't. You can also see that the modded one has some "stretched" words. Is that something to do with changing the battle scenes?

Obesebear is right.
I have some files changed directly in the LGP files, but some are on the mods directory. As you can see I use a French version, and without files on the mods directory, I don't have accented characters.
On the screens take care about the battle scene not the battle menu.

Thanks you Vgr255 but I have solve the problem :
- First intalling the Team Avalanche's Graphical Overhaul Beta9 then the Team Avalanche's GUI 2.0.5 (I found one named 2.0.7 but I assume it's 2.0.5).
And I have now accented characters (when I'm using the mods patch !). But you make me curious ^^ Just editing the kernel2.bin can resove this problem too ? I think I will look at it ... just to see ^^ Thanks again anyway ! :)

... PNG files are going into /Final Fantasy VII/mods/avalanche/battle/
Then your cfg file need to have modpath = avalanche
This is the most common case. Many of people are using Team Avalanche's mods, so the folder Avalanche is already used by many of us. If you are not using Team Avalanche's mods and don't have the Avalanche folder, then you can give any name to this folder, like you want, but you need to write it on the cfg file like I've said before. But don't forget, under this folder you need to have battle folder (with PNG files inside).

So let me get this right. first and second packs must be moved inside the battle.lgp but the 3rd pack must be moves inside the mods/Dk/battle (i use the menu overhaul of DLPB so that's my root) ???i have done something similar for yarlson's mod too but nothing happened. I have set the modpath=DK. so what do i do??or are u going to change the files to tex so that we can input them to the battle.lgp??

I converted the packs 1,1.5,2 to .tex to work in battle.lgp (of course with authorization)
The pack 3 for now is not available in .tex but you can see the tutorial and convert by yourself:

My png is in the folder battle

I made a new folders for the battle textures and I edit ff7_opengl.cfg with the new route
look:
ff7pc\mods\mods\battle
Its work for me.

I have some errors. Such as ERROR: invalid version in polygon file STAGE67.P11 (the brown area around Midgar and near Junon) and therefore the enhanced field isn't loaded.
Also, some textures don't show when I use certain summons. For example Neo-Bahamut blast doesn't show at all; Bahamut Zero's blast doesn't show when it enters the sky right before blasting.
There are probably many more errors/missing textures like this but I've only tested with these 2 summons.
I hope it can be fixed or if there's a solution please redirect me. :( Thanks.

Just installed all these packs along with Felix's texture packs (And I really LOVE what you did guys KUDOS!) and I noticed that there's still some battle scenes that aren't replaced yet.. Does anyone have complete battle scene files..? Sorry for asking too much just wanna play the game again with full graphics enhancement ;D
