By "non-dialogue" do you mean names for weaponry, materia, abilities, and the like?

because that has been done by alot of people.

I can think of 3 different versions of that same set of items that were changed.

Seif Just about all of the text in game was exactly the same, so either you were wrong about him stealing your work, or you didn't do ANYTHING to improve the dialogue....

I notice a few good changes, but nothing that would constitute a lookover on the entire game's dialogue.

EDIT: that isn't to say that Titeguy didn't fix the errors where they mattered. Good Sh*t titeguy...good sh*t  :wink:

I honestly don't see that much work in what you did seif.

Unless I missed something (which I may have, and let it stand on record that I am unaware of any major changes that were made), you only fixed certain errors that were made by the original translators.

changes such as grammatical errors, and inappropriate dialogue

edit: I cannot possibly imagine that the original translation needed that much work done seif

It looks like your game isn't loading the field after the fmv plays.

I don't know what to change to fix this if it's true though.

it's mine and i never have any problem coming up with usernames for anything from websites to xbox.

My favorite final fantasy has to be 7 (of course). 6 however definately earns its place as 7's rival (and in some opinions, better.)

My reason isn't just that it was my first game ever, or that sephiroth/cloud is UBER KEWL. No my reason for loving FF7 was because of its compelling and very complex storyline, fresh and well implemented ideas, and its amazing battle system.

I also came to love the omnipotent point of view instead of a 3rd person 'follow them from behind' perspective.

FF7 for me was (in my opinion) the very reason that my good friends and peers find me creative because it taught me to think outside of the box....

and also because it was my first game and sephiroth and cloud are UBER KEWL  :-D

He just took existing mods and piled them into an executable application.

I am not aware of him posting anywhere stating that all of the content is his own.

Wow I messed it all up yet again.

I tried running YAMP to get the 9999 patch and lo and behold I start the game to have the opening FMV 4 times as big and the texture completely unreadable.

there's just a bunch of blue blocks which is otherwise a black screen instead of the opening menu.

In the APP log it says it can't load any of the tex files

Actually...it's saying it can't load or read ALOT of files. I may just do a fresh install.

 :'(

I sort of skipped over the kalm part.

What happens?

is it that glitch where sephi's weapon isn't equipped?

Because that happens to me regaurdless of what patch I use, but it never bothers me because I always did use Jenova.

It creates better 3d models for most of the models in the field, and gives barret and cloud better looking battle models.

Good info.

I am loving the game much more now that the music is more epic than before.

I just tested to see if i could substitute the music (the midi files) with others so that I could hypothetically have a regular boss battle run the music "J-E-N-O-V-A" in its place.

It worked  ;D

So after backing up all of the files, I picked out some of my personal favorite choices for different versions of the same music.

Like the two different versions of "one-winged angel", there was one I liked, and one I didn't.

So I swapped the names to make the one I liked play during the safer sephiroth battle.

And in case it somehow messes up the game, I (as always) have my entire FF7 game backed up in case of a crash.  ;D

Regaurding Ammo's question, I was asking because I have a tendancy to try and fully understand anything that interests me.

While we're on the topic:

When you make the decision to Ban someone, what happens?

Programming wise, what does the website do to prevent the banned individual from making an appearance?

Or am I reading too much into this and it just blocks any attempt of interaction from the banned person by registering their IP address as "hey you're not on the list".

I remember back when I played FF7 on the good ol PS1. In those days I remember distinctly that I managed to warp to one part of the game, one that may be on another disc entirely, and still be able to play it.

I would be able to fight sephiroth at the end while I was only using the first disc, and the SOLE difference was that the fmv's were the wrong ones.

And now in retrospect...I ask, why?

Why is it that I was able to continue all the way through the game on one single disc? and why do you even need the other discs if you can just rely on one?

I do have a question though.

I see that there is a Batch file right next to the regular file that the game runs on named "FF7 remix hard core"

If I click on that will the game become like the hard core mod?

And if so, does it replace my kernel folder?

True. And I thought about that before I chose to go on.

I did play a little afterwards and it seemed like it wasn't every enemy that was ridiculous.

But I guess I wasn't interested in getting all RAGED up every time I had to do a long series of fights or events because an enemy lit my ass up.

Great job as usual NFIT.

Is it possible to make the next version (if you make it) give more options for customizing materia?

i'd like to see a tab that let's you edit the values for what peice of materia holds what abilities.

If the current version can already do that, then i guess i'm just to dumb to figure out how.
