Shouldn't there be an underscore between the "l" and the "07"?

Here is a fix for the target line problem

http://img714.imageshack.us/img714/3979/btlcl07.png

Copy this into your textures/menuart folder

Ill take a look into the throw menu as well.

Thanks for the fix, it works great (i had to clear my cache, Apply your fix and rename the file).
Also is the throw screen only my problem or does anyone else have it ?

Nope i get it too. Ill have to hunt down which texture is giving us the problem and fix it up.

I had an issue where the WMRP "new game/continue" background (buster_00) wouldn't show on my crappy i915GM laptop on WindowsXP.

Eventually found it was a "non-power-of-two" (NPOT) texture resolution issue, and was easily fixed by resizing the 1024x768 image to 1024x1024.
Turns out it's a common issue affecting some other Intel on-board graphics chipsets too.
Weirdly, it works fine under Wine in Ubuntu - i guess Intel's driver devs are too lazy to code a workaround.

The image displays properly after modifying, it isnt distorted or stretched.

Would it cause any problems for others if the "offending" texture was resized in future releases?

That can be done (btw good work on searching for the answer to the problem). Did you just stretch yours? Or did you add black borders? And how did it look?

thats odd indeed!

the image is at a 3:4 ratio because square montiors use that, and you resized it to a 1:1 ratio, making it a perfect square. It seems that if someone did not have you particular issue and used a 1:1 ratio then the image may become squished left-right. At least in what i have ever witnessed when it comes to this sort of thing.

Same difference when people with widescreen view the start menu without black borders, it stretches the image left-right and it looks odd, but i'd say many people are still using 3:4 montiors instead of 16:9 widescreen. A few more years and 3:4 should be on its way out though.

I just stretched the image - it looks stretched when loaded in an image editor, but looks fine in-game.

I don't think it should cause a problem for others since Aali's driver is already stretching it to fit the monitor anyway,
but theres no way to know without testing it.

Is TA's mod compatible with Aali's newest (0.7.8b) driver ? i'm asking cause I tried it today and dunno what goes wrong but can't install T.A.G.O. When installer is run I get this:
Aali's custom driver is not installed, or not installed correctly. please reinstall...
The game runs fine with Aali's driver, got no graphical problems just this :
ERROR: could not read from file c:\users\mefi\games\Final Fantasy 7\ff7input.cfg (0)
but i already created ff7input file.
Can this cause problem with compatibility to TAGO?
And how can I solve the ff7input prob, already tried deleting, and creating a new one.

This is because aali's newer drivers do not modify the registry the same way. the easiest fix is to download one of the older versions and run the ff7opengl.reg.

Yeah, it is a known problem with the low res version of the installer. You could try the high res one instead

I am using the last release of the graphic overhaul patch, and I have a fairly minor problem. The white border in the ingame windows are slightly corrupted, displaying a slight overlapping of the border. Here is a picture:

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

I am playing at 1680 x 1050, bilinear filtering is on, fancy transparency is on and preserve aspect is set to off. Anyone has any ideas on how I can get a smooth border?

Are you using the low res or high res? I am guessing low res since it looks like a scaling artifact.

Is caching turned on? If it is try turning it off and deleting the cache.

I've tried to delete the folder into the cache one and turn off the cache from the driver options, but the problem still exists. To get everything out of the way, I did reinstall the whole game without any other mods and reinstalled the high resolution graphical overhaul (settings are still the same, but this time cache was turned off before I launched the game for the first time). The problem it's still there.

Must be a problem with the borders then. If you are adventurous you could open up the png's in photoshop or similar and see if you can get them working better. If not well you will have to wait until i get around to looking at it.

Okay, I can't get my Avalanche Overhaul Mod to install.
I have Aali's Custom up-to-date Mod installed into my game folder, just like it should be, but it keeps saying that it isn't installed. I can't seem to get it to work.

"Aali's custom driver is not installed, or not installed correctly. Please re-install and try again."

Like someone else said I should, I tried an earlier version of Aali's, and it didn't work still.

You need to run the ff7_opengl.reg file from an older version.

Hi!!

I have a clean installation on FF7 1.02 French version. Aali's driver 0.7.7.
I don't see the differences with Avalanche High Rez patch. It seems the game load only original textures and models

I think the TA patch or installer only supports the english version so that's why you don't see any difference.

Hello guys, im new here to the forums and i can say you guys are doing an IMPRESSIVE work around here, now getting on topic, i dunno if this is the right place, but for my interpretation the patch only supports resolutions bigger than 1280x1024? Asking that coz i have an old 15'' monitor that only supports 1024x768.

Thanks
