Are there any news related to scenario HD Backgrounds?? Sorry to write in this topic but for the life of me, I cannot find any information related to the subject anywhere.

Well simply put this is for pros only. I only started searching for video help when I was fighting Jenova-Death and after that continued on without video help. There were other boss moments when I had to use video help but those moments were rare. I'm now near Sephiroth inside Northern Cave, waiting for the proper time to try and defeat him, and I have 150 hours of gameplay. x)
Also, I recently found out some secret bosses were not appearing for me so after I'm done with this save I'm gonna start a New Game once again to prove myself once more. :p
If I can do it you people can do it too. So don't give up and devote yourselfs to your efforts. ;) Take this as a challenge.

That's what the "hardcore" is about lol. If you don't want the game that way just don't install it. xD
I personally find it the best mod of all here, because it really pushes out your thinking most of the times. As for the first boss you refereed well that's the intention, to gather some Potions and Ethers around the area while going up some levels meanwhile. The harder it is, the more interesting it gets. Besides, we all know the game by memory so why not going up for a pro challenge, right? :)

Well I fight with Cloud, Cid and Yuffie, so I don't think Cait Sith could have been the problem there. :/

To ease my curiosity, did you try with different partysetup?
Nope, not for the boss on the Hades materia at least. I personally don't think that anything on character models could mess up with the bosses appearing or not, if that's what you're thinking. Btw, ff7.exe is also patched, right? What if it was something missing there, or not patched right? Or maybe some other mod that needed to do something on the ff7.exe too during the installation and somehow messed up a code on ff7.exe that enabled those new boss battles? xD Lol dunno, just saying. x)

Hum. Now that I think about it I still have the originals .lgp files on a separate place in case I needed them. I could have used the original flevel.lgp for some reason to install some other mod or something. Well, this is a "what if" anyway. I don't suppose I did this, not after I started using Bootleg. It was many months ago.

Squall, I'm curious. Did you see this pop-up during your Bootleg install? If so, did you select the options exactly as the image?

Hi. Yes I did see that pop-up during installation, and yes I'm pretty sure I selected everything just like it's showing in your pic there.
I've tried to look just now for any .txt that could show the procedures it took during installation but I'm not finding it, or maybe I just deleted it.
Although I've already fixed the problem by re-installing the mod I'll be glad to help on finding out what could've gone wrong during install.

Note that by saying 1 summon per battle I don't mean 1 summon use for the entire battle, I mean 1 use for each summon materia equipped.

enemy stuff is scene.bin based
new enemies need models in the battle.lgp

I don't remember THIS being part of the hardcore mod at all. How would he even code that?

the new bosses are based on just the flevel, so if you're not finding them, your flevel isn't patched.

Yeah I've just re-installed and I have the new bosses now. I also thought I already had them not only because I've fought the White Chocobo but also because there's a monster near Rocket Town that gets bigger in size right after the battle starts, and another monster does the same in the grass area near Mideel. So I thought those 2 were part of the hardcore mode and thus I thought all bosses & monsters were already added since everything else I had was part of the hardcore mode.
And yeah, 1 summon per battle, you can see all the materias only have 2 stars.

Confirmed. I'm not finding any new bosses. Because I never fought the one on Hades materia. -.-
I don't like to follow walkthroughs because I prefer to play games on my own no matter how difficult they are, so that's why I've only noticed now. I've checked EQ2Alyza's videos on youtube a few times however, but only when I was really stuck, so I haven't seen any new bosses I might have missed. But I do know for sure that my game is just as hard as her's. I even have the equipment tweaks and materia tweaks like only being able to summon 1 summon per battle, etc.
I dunno how I could've gotten this difficulty and not the new bosses. O.o Anyway, to fix this I just need to re-install this mod again, simple as that, right? Dammit...

Yes I did. The White Chocobo (correct me if I'm wrong) and a few others... but I can't remember them. x)
Talking about it I haven't seen any new enemies or bosses in a while...
Is there some kind of list about the new enemies & bosses? That way I can have 100% if I'm missing something.

I did it with Bootleg. And from what I've seen from EQ2Alyza's Youtube videos everything is just like her game. These 3 guys are the only exception. xD
Anyway, since I'm already at this part of the game I want to try and finish the game first as it is. It's not like these guys will make a difference now. :/

In the shinra HQ? DId you patch the flevel?
It's before the Hojo fight, in the stairs. Well if I'm using this Hardcore Mod since the beginning of the game so I suppose those guys should've appeared. I've also heard I can encounter them on other parts of the game but I don't think I ever did, and I don't remember what other parts of the game they should appear. Only thing I know for sure is that they didn't appeared here. :/
Could it be because somehow I never have fought them before?

Hi there. First of all I want to congratulate Gjoerulv for this FANTASTIC mod. I think it's the best mod there is, and I'm enjoying it very much! However, I'm right at this part of the game in Midgar where I'm supposed to fight Locke, Theo and Venus, but they just don't appear! O.o What could I be missing??? I really want this fight. :(

Lol I don't know what you mean by L2LB, but yeah my game is modded with Bootleg. From what I searched this is a problem in the game itself, not because of any mods. And that even the 2012 version still has this error. In case you're willing to try it for yourself this crash don't always happen. It happens most when you use it on bosses or multiple enemies. It happens right when Cid's blast starts to fade away.

Isn't there a fix for Cid's Hyper Jump limit break yet to stop it from crashing? :(
"If you use Cid's level 2 limit break "Hyper Jump" on an enemy that is immune to instant death, the game crashes." I don't know if this is true but it's what I found by searching the internet. Anyway, I hope this information can be useful for someone to fix it.

I just picked up FF7 on steam this weekend and would like to play it with this mod, but I'm unable to download Avalanche GUI 2.0.8 anywhere. Most sites I go to say the file no longer exists, and the few that let me download it, the file disappears when it reaches my computer. I even downloaded it to a zip disk on a mac where I could see the full file (roughly 7.1 MB) was there, but when I moved the zip disk to my PC the Avalanche file was suddenly reduced to 4 KB.

Is anyone else experience a similar issue? Can anyone suggest a fix?

It's in the SNOWBOARD-US.LGP minigame file. I haven't opened it in awhile but I remember it's not the same as the other models and wont be as easy to edit.

After moving away red_00 from Final Fantasy VII\textures\avatar  and  Final Fantasy VII\mods\Bootleg\menu  the problem still persists. I noticed it only happens inside Wutai and only in the very first image. Then, I found out the problem has something to do with that field image. That black japanese-like letter on my avatar is one of the letters of one of the stores there. I still don't know why the materia is also shown on the avatar lol but I suppose it's due to my save model. (the one that looks like FFX save but with the materias flying around it)
I also get the "UNEXPECTED: zero count" line.
With all this, I don't think there's some kind of fix for my problem lol.


UPDATE: This issue with RedXIII's avatar happens on every place where there's a save point, so forget all I just said and the japanese letter, I'm now 100% sure it has something to do with the save point model I use and it's red materia. Namely the red.tex file most probably, it seems to be in conflict with RedXIII's avatar file (probably named red_00.tex I suppose).
I will personally talk with this save point model's owner and try to see what I can do from here.


UPDATE 2: Fixed. For anyone also having this issue, extract the files from char.lgp and rename the red.tex to reda.tex (for example), then, join all the files into a new char.lgp and voilá no more RedXIII avatar glitch. ^^
I figured out it was indeed a conflict between the red materia from the rotating materia-like save point (red.tex), and RedXIII's avatar from the menu_us.lgp (red.tex). Both had the same name, thus the problem.

Hi. I have this issue with RedXIII avatar http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/585/74w1.jpg/ but only when I'm in-doors. It isn't like that when I'm on the outside world. I use the PNG avatars from the mod folder I tried deleting it and copy a red.tex to the menu_us instead, but the problem remained, I even tried with the original avatar and I got the same problem. And yes, I did deleted my cache before every try. I don't get it why I keep getting that materia-like avatar when I'm indoors only.  :-\

Well I suppose this is the only topic I can go for help on this one.
To make it quick I have this problem with some of the mountains http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/138/fllj.jpg/ and this problem with the Temple of the Ancients http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/199/dpz.JPG/
Only like 5% of the mountains in the whole world has that basic textures however, but I would like to fix it anyway. And as for the Temple I don't think FL-WME has any textures for the temple or anything that can help me with that problem since that's what I have already installed anyway.
Any way I can fix these two issues? :(
