got some time to play around settings.. same as some members above, i want the old battle gui for the full hp indicator.. but, i can't make the box transparent.. this is the team avalanche GUI.. if someone wants to know how i did it, i'm willing to post it here.. :)

It seems that what makes the Battle GUI transparent is Bootleg's bootloader configuration. It seems impossible (at least at the moment) to make the GUI transparent without it.

I hope Alyza may someday add this option on her mod requests. In the meanwhile, I'll be using Bootleg because I don't like very much Reunion's menu ovethaul and FFIX battle GUI interface.

I really hope you add the Team Avalanche Battle GUI to 7th Heaven Mod Request list. I would love it transparent, showing the whole battle scene as made possible by the bootloader (New Battle Interface option).

Is there a way to make Team Avalanche's Transparent Battle GUI work on 7th Heaven like this? I thought it might be possible as Reunion is able to work really well (As described on this thread:http://forums.qhimm.com/index.php?topic=16557.0)

Wow, man! It worked really well!

I think it's important to clarify people of what to check before saying it didn't work (That's what I needed to do before it worked fine):

1) Check if the the "also launch" feature on Settings directs to "FF7+.exe", not "FF7.exe" or "FF7_Launcher.exe";
2) Check is FF7Config's Sound tab is not blank (open it as ADMIN);
3) Don't forget to use the FF7DISC1 image;
4) Reinstall "ff7_opengl-0.8.1b". If there's a problem, it's not gonna work at all.

By the way, Kaldarasha do you think it might be possible to install Team Avalanche's GUI as well? I'd love to use its menu/dialogue box/transparent battle command interface with widescreen battle background. Sorry if I'm sounding repetitive with this request...

I have to make an addition. You must change the mod path to use the textures folder in aali's driver as well. You can change it in the driver's ff7opengl.cfg file or with 7th heaven.

I did as you suggested me and it worked really well. The open world textures and magic textures worked again and the retranslation seemed to be still there, although magic names such as Blizarra reverted to Ice2.

Another issue with it is the presence of wrong monsters and battle backgrounds in Mythril Mine (this issue has already been foretold by 7th Heaven's FAQs, dealing with modding already modded ff7.exe files), like Midgar Zolom in Shinra Building background and Motor Ball in Midgar Highway background.

It seems impossible use the retranslation with 7th Heaven at the moment. An update will be necessary for that.

Alright! I will do as you say and wait until the next catalog.  :) It's really amazing how far you could go even though you say you're not a tech-savvy person. Congratulations!

Where do I download it? I checked the thread for the mod. It's that 7 mod collection right?

He meant that you shouldn't install and convert the PC or Steam version in the program files our program files (x86) folders, or they'll bug your mods.

I'd like to use this thread to ask if it's possible to use Menu Overhaul/Reunion without disabling the 7th Heaven's mods.

After installing Reunion R03e(only the Retranslation patch), I noticed that it won't load anymore 7th Heaven's Open World textures, Magic textures, Field textures, Menu avatars and New Game/Load background. Music and field/battle models look fine.

I tried moving the mods\reunion to mods\textures, but it caused the text crunching mentioned above. I could only have MinMin's transparent avatars by downloading them and manually pasting them into reunion\menu folder, replacing the old avatar files.

So, it's there any way to install the retranslation patch from Reunion or MO without disabling 7H mods? Is it possible to replace files like I did with MinMin's avatars?

The text scrunched happened to me when I had Team Avalanche's GUI installed and Menu Overhaul enabled on 7th Heaven.

You are right about Team Avalanche's GUI. I tried installing it, but it did not recognize the World/battle textures/Menu Avatar from 7th Heaven.

Then I decided to install their High Res patch with world and magic textures, but this happened when I launched 7th Heaven:

I guess that If Team Avalanche's interface is not included in future 7th Heaven's updates, it might not be possible to use it anymore. Maybe I could make a Mod Request?  :)

Hello! I would like to know if Tifa's 7th Heaven has the High Res Original Menu/Font/Dialogue box/Battle Command Interface present in the old Bootleg's bootloader. Only the Transparent option is available in the openGL driver configurarion.

Here are some images depicting what I mean (do not mind the battle models/menu avatars):







How can I install this interface? If not, is it possible to install the mod manually without 7th Heaven or Bootleg?

Hello guys! I deciced give Tifa's 7th Heaven 1.50 a chance and I started downloading the mods.

When I've finished downloaded a couple of them, I click on the Activate or Configure buttons, it crashes and it asks me to report it to the forums.

The answer is yes.  With R04, which is not out yet.  R03 is no longer supported.

Sorry for my ignorance on the matter. But I still don't know if it is possible to install the retranslation (and maybe the 60FPS patch) with the Reunion installer without updating the menu and battle command interfaces. If it is, I would like to know what to do.

Hi there everyone! First of all I'd like to congratulate all those people who worked on the high-quality Retranslation project. Thanks a lot for it!

I have an issue I'd like to share here: It seems that every time I try to install the Retranslation patch via The Reunion and Menu Overhaul it always ends up installing the new menu/dialogue window/fonts/command battle interfaces. The thing is that I would like to keep the original menu that the bootleg040 offers (maybe due to Team Avalanche's GUI/Hi Res?) and "new battle interface" offered by Bootloader (that looks like the original PSX one, but in HD and transparent).

I also noticed it deactivated all World Map/Magic Effects I installed on BootLeg040. I tried installing the Model Overhaul on The Reunion, but it didn't change anything in the open world and magic effects.

So, Is there a way to install the Retranslation without changing the interface of the whole game?
