In case anyone hasn't seen it yet, Maki released the tool here:

http://forums.qhimm.com/index.php?topic=19432.0

Once you're done releasing the HD backgrounds Mcindus, I wonder if I can have a go at the pixelated characters:

Pretty sure I can make it look HD using copy and pasting, with some digital painting here and there.

Wouldn't it be easier to just take the new model the game makes use of, rip it, then and have it pose similar to the pixelated character? If ripping the model isn't possible then finding areas with the like character and trying to get decent images to then superimpose with any needed edits.

I imagine it's probably random, like how Gilgamesh wields a certain sword at random.

Sweet-sauce! I love your revisions for the borders.  ;D

Are you like a card maker or something?   ;)

I'm completely fine with how the FPS is. I never cared for FPS much to begin with, although I can see how some games may need it given the genre.

OpenVIII is a project started by Maki. It'll be a big game changer in the future for sure. Maki has some videos on YouTube about it, highly recommend checking it out. ^_^

I also believe the remastered handles the settings/keybindings far better than the other re-release by far. So I prefer it over the old at the moment.

I'm starting to not mind most of the redesigns, except Squall's, but I do find myself being okay with it from time to time.

Wait, was paying the Queen of Cards to add a rule a thing before or is that new? I really don't recall that.

Cost 30,000 gil to add Same to the local rules.

All the original saves copy over fine Ultimecia looks good

She's a goddess! <333

Edit: Too distracted by the goddess, just noticed the error... "Kurse"

Also Maki already cracked it and will make an extractor for said files soon. xD

Looking at the files, looks like they wrapped everything up in a... ".zzz" file? o.O
There's main.zzz and other.zzz
Language files are within folders and some resource dll within.

Edit: So tried renaming the .zzz to like .rar just because, that didn't work, but when trying to launch the game it says this:

https://drive.google.com/open?id=1oD7z3c-Y7cNQVUqfW_kJEb3G4W0f0lcw

So I guess they're using some software called OpenArchive.

Maybe... this:https://www.graudata.com/en/openarchive/

Or maybe one of their functions used to extract it? Dunno. Haven't really learned any reverse engineering yet... D;

Found an interesting youtube channel whom are fandubbing most, if not all, of FFVIII.

Not too shabby. ^_~

Well is there someone here that completed both Final Fantasy  13 and Type-0?

Does not it seem like Type-0 is the world before events took place in FF13?

Well the game is part of the Fabula Nova Crystallis series of FF, which includes FFXIII and FFXV(formerly known as FFXIII Versus) so possibly, albeit i never finished either of them... I probably should have by now... xD Le Procrastination! :c

There's a few interface updates here http://www.eivigames.com.br/p/grandia-ii.html

I've been trying to upscale Ryudo's textures with waifu2x but there's multiple versions and none seem to be the right ones so far, once I figure it out then I'll do the whole party.

Looks nice. ^_^

20
Oh nice, I hadn't known about that, thanks. ^_^

I just bought the steam version release, and looking through it's directory and subfolders, it looks to be rather easy to mod the game.
Pretty much all the texture files are in a .dds format, which can be easily viewed and edited, as well as spreadsheets used for what texture is being loaded for certain char, enemies, etc. You can even turn on debug mode through FIELD.INI and SYSTEM.INI easily.

There are more than just those things which look to be easily edited as well. The only thing that may be difficult are the 3D models. Granted it already received some improved visuals, but I believe more can be done.

Bloody awesome, wish I could have played it. ^_^ lol

« on: 2015-07-21 08:07:17 »
There's only so much time to still buy the bundle for anyone that wants to, I believe there's only 10hrs left of me posting this before they start a different bundle.

Also an update to the total of how much the bundle would cost normally if you were to buy each thing individually...

$2,544 BAM, you save $2,532 by buying this alone. That's for say if you only spend the $12 to get everything, or if you're generous with having spent more. Honestly I bought the bundle twice. hehe O.O

If anyone doesn't know how to access the added software and assets from when they were added, all you have to do is go back to the link that they sent you when you bought it. I personally just created an account to claim it, a lot easier than having to look through your email/if you accidentally deleted it.

To White Wind, sorry for the very late reply, but yes you can use everything contained in the bundle as you wish, ALSO every asset within this bundle is licensed so that you can use them in your own commercial game, if you were to say create a masterpiece you could sell it on Steam or anything else similar.

I'm currently working on a game for this as well. ^_^ Not much time left, but just enough I believe for me to get most of what I want it to be when it's finished. :3 If I win or get good reviews I may just start a kickstarter afterwards. Yay, I'd hopefully then get to quit my job at lame retail, and do something I want to do! :D Haha

Update on prizes can be seen at the prize page, again: http://contest.gamedevfort.com/page/prizes

Adventurezator: When Pigs Fly.

They even have a money prize for someone that takes their time to review others games.

https://www.humblebundle.com/

To start off Degica, most known for their RPG Maker series, is hosting another contest. Get this!  Humble Bundle is working with them too! At Humble Bundle you can get $1985 worth of game making software and assets for just $12 or more, you decide the price! The rules and guidelines you can find by going to the first link, and then the guidelines page. Prizes? Getting noticed and an insane prize pool!

http://contest.gamedevfort.com/page/prizes

Current prize pool for the grand, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes are as followed:

Grand Prize: $11,124.50

2nd Place: $2,927.50

The Prize pool increases depending on how many people buy the bundle at Humble Bundle, and choose where they want the money to go. You can decide to have it all sent to the pool, OR have it sent to charity OR the developers of whom allowed their game to be in the bundle also, the games with the bundle are winners from the previous contest. Also note that next Tuesday there will be more software and assets added to the bundle, so you get what is there now, and what is to come. There are also other prizes involved, which can be seen on the prize page.

Just thought I'd share this awesome event with the rest of the forums. ^_^
