http://RocketRonnie.net/245.rar

Place window.bin into Kernel folder
place 245.exe into main game folder
Place image files into mods/modpath/Menu where modpath is your modpath.

This is for testing purposes only.  See first post to see what is done.  Some things are in progress like the materia menu, materia sell menu, item sell menu.

Lots of stuff isnt done. CHECK FIRST POST.

Apparently the tabs in dialogue are created from the space value.  A normal tab is 4 spaces (E1 function), and a selection tab is 10 spaces (E0 function).

I have tried to locate in the executable the whereabouts of the code that decides whether it is 4 or 10 spaces etc.  I need to be able to change this so I can directly affect tab spacing.

Anyone have any idea where it is?  There has to be a place in code that looks up the data in window.bin for the space value and then does the math on it.  Ive tried tracing what accesses the space value but came up with nothing.

Any ideas?

There isn't much point in betas of this as no installer is made and it isn't complete until its complete...  its like downloading 5 FMV every 2 minutes when 20 arent finished...

best off waiting, although in a week or so I may upload current progress.  It just makes it harder for me really...

You missed the backup mirror.

Errr..... sorry about that but I need the new opening screen, ending2... fmvs with lower quality, not old video on disc. I tried to convert hq fmvs to lq but the result so bad. Music does not seem to match with vid when run.

The whole point of redoing FMV to my mind is to make them better...  so when you get lower quality ones, what is the point?  That's how I see it.  Get better hardware.

You have asked this question a few times, and the answer is they are on your disc... if you have one.  Which I am thinking you don't.

Yup, that sadly does happen :P  and it becomes painfully obvious to me when someone is doin that cause it is like every move is a doomed one, and no mistakes at all from opponent of any kind.  I played 1 guy I know and lost 5 times to him... I had no chance.  Then in person he was suddenly the worlds worst player....  didn't take a Kasparov to work that one out.

Of course if we get enough support, no using bloody computers to help!!!

If so maybe we can start a  little tournament here ?  8 players minimum, first to 2 games up to the final.  We would have to find somewhere to play like Yahoo, but it would be pretty cool.

Anyone up for it?

In the competition so far: 6 Minimum needed: 8

after contemplating that thought....sqenix would probably be better off paying out these hardworking people for a true 100% remake...we all know what could happen if they're left to their own devices...

Could? No.  Will?  Yes.

Let's hope they never get round to it in their current mindset.  It will be a disaster in all but graphics and possibly translation.  I am happy to do my bit with the PC and make sure that it can't be ruined.

The one thing I did find that is in 720p is an eidos montreal logo on youtube. I fugre you could extract it and use video editing tools to remove the montreal moniker. As for the squaresoft logo, I'm sure there are high res iterations of it already online. All that would be left to do is animate it and convert it to Indeo avi.

indeo?  why you using that?

No idea...  haven't looked into logos really :)  Only thing I can think of for Squaresoft is to extract the texture from FF8 and then use something like Perfect Resize on it.

I used ff8 eidos with the avalanche logo I think.  It is a bit better but at the end of the day I left it out of official release because it is not from FF7.

A muslim is a practicioner of Islam.  What's not to get?
--------

Not all Muslims are going to obey all of the Koran, nor will they be as devout as a suicide bomber.  It is obviously very stupid to try and suggest that all Muslims are as bad as their evil little religion.  There is a massive distinction.  The unfortunate thing is, as Dawkins mentioned, you do not need a majority or even a very large number of followers to believe the majority of Koran for there to be mass death and severe problems.

Even a small percentage is significant if they believe it is good to blow you up (Jihad), not to take christians, jews and unbelievers as friends (Koran verse) and if they believe you are to be conquered.  You have to understand just 1 thing:

Koran/teachings = Cause
Some Muslims = Effect.

proof of this is seen in Iran, Palestine, Iraq, Lebanon, Libya, Turkey (to an extent), Ivory Coast, Pakistan, Afghanistan and 100 other places.

So it is either a massive coincidence that these places are the way they are, or Mr. Islam has something to do with it.

8568
Don't worry. That problem will be dealt with when the Dutch left-wing get him put in prison for racism.

Because criticising a religion is racist.

Sorry added to my other post also. And yes you are right of course, they are trying every trick in the book to silence the truth, but in the end, you can't silence it.

Ivory Coast is 1 example of what happens when you ignore a problem for long enough, and so is Germany pre WW2.  Eventually it comes to a point where there is a serious and undeniable problem that needs to be confronted.

By that time, unfortunately, serious casualties are inevitable.  WW2 had more than 50 million deaths because of a policy of appeasement and self delusion.  People do not learn from history.

8569
Then you must surely accept that the problem of Islamic extremism in Sweden is a result of the failure of the Swedish government and the suicidal political correctness of the country's mass culture?
-----------

I already have accepted that but again that is nothing to do with this topic...  but yes, all of Europe is in a quagmire because of PC, lefty liberalism (thats gone way too far) and often a self-hating deluded philosophy.

Some are breaking free of it thanks to the likes of Geert Wilders, but much more needs doing.  It is plainly against logic to welcome, encourage, lie about, and bend over backwards to a religious ideology that would ultimately see an end to your democracy and has created issues all over the world in the past and today, and is plainly responsible for mass death.  It is clear that it is not a peaceful religion and that in countries with large populations of followers, there is very often war, civil war, poor living conditions, and serious social problems.

Some would like you to believe that is a coincidence.

You can blame Muslims all you want

You fail to understand the difference between Muslim and Islam? but yes I agree, it is our fault for allowing it to happen.  I said that...  it is our fault for being liberal to an invader and what is clearly a fascist ideology.

epsxe is buggy and rather crap imho.  I hope pSX author comes back and finishes pSX.

I do love Sweden for the many things it gets right.  Plus it is a very nice country to look at, unlike the towns near me infested with chewing gum toting thugs and chavs. :P

8574
I know all about Sweden's problem with Islam... esp Malmo.  Islam isn't anything new, it has been a problem since its inception and will be until we defeat it.  The more liberal you are with something that will ultimately end your democracy, the more you stock pile your own funeral pyre.  The reason Islam has taken such a hold of Europe is its pathetic pandering to it and appeasement which is doomed to cost many thousands of lives.

We aren't discussing Islam though, this thread has nothing to do with it ;)  And nor can we discuss it, otherwise the thread might get locked, like my last one.

On topic, yes I am aware that this law and certain others are overreactions and a bit silly.  You are bound to get a few like that.  Britains entire law system is a farce, not just 1 or 2, and that's considering that we are all ruled from Brussels here anyway.

8575
I don't know but it seems to be working.  I am guessing it is taught better in schools and media.  I never studied in Sweden, I can just see the fruits of its success.
