Here's a new product from Adobe that might just help you guys. It's called Adobe Atmosphere. This program creates 3D dimensions and it supports Javascript and you can chat in the dimension through Avatars. This product is still in beta version. I hope to see an early PC version of FF11 soon!!!  :) It is easier to use than AutoCAD.  http://www.adobe.com/products/atmosphere/" TARGET=_blank>Click here to check it out

Joey:  You implying that you think they're gonna make FFXI using atmosphere?  SOmehow I dont think so.

Mind you I do like the idea of using avatars.

It sounds a lot like VRML?

Ok, here's what. Since(according to the preview), FF11 is an onling chat game, (hey, the original movie also contains FF9's preview) So, by taking textures from FF and recreating the scenery, we can actually make a 3D game, when compiled with everything else. Rumour has it that Square WILL port FF11 into everything that can go online, including PC and Xbox and also that Atmosphere will be used to create the PC version.

Square use Atmosphere? I don't think so.

Lets think about this: They're going to program an online game for the PS2. After their programmers writing all this code, when porting it to the PC version, they're then going to hand the job over to a few website designers using a pre-packaged online chat tool? Hmmmm. Somehow, I suspect they might just, oooh, write an online game for the PC? I mean, they *are* a games company.

If rumour has this - well, that's why it's called RUMOUR. Rumour also has it that Square are using pink alien penguins to write the code for FFX, and it's being done totally in Javascript.

If rumour on the 'net suggests something unlikely, then 9 times out of 10 (or 99 times  out of 100) it ain't going to happen. My money is on this being one of those times.

Out cast is on Dvd as well. But I meant a Pc game that comes out first and only on Dvd.
I hope it happens. I hope they port the 2 dvd version with high res support and DD 5.1 sound to the pc not the normal one!

Thatd be cool with dolby 5.1, but my soundcard (live!value) is only dolby 4.1 . Also I'd have to get a DVD drivew and i dont have £40 spare.

Dolby 5.1 will work with 4.1. It just wont sound as good. I have pro logic in my room and 5.1 dvds sound damn fine.
