A newly styled Vivi
« on: 2012-03-19 02:34:23 »
Hi guys. This is the model i've been trying my hand on. I aspire to make some kind of a Vivi-ish character. Mostly for the fun of it but in the end i may use it as well :)

Vivi would be perfect to replace Cait Sith :D

Don't think it is that easy. But then again i'm not an expert. If the model is appreciated i'll try and finish it and eventually release it to the forum =]

update :P Any comment on it would be appreciated. I still don't know a thing about modeling so criticism will be most helpful. =]

No way. I know Cait Sith isn't the most popular character fo FF7(Even i don't use him in my party too often), but why are there so many  who'd rather Cait Sith didn't exist in the first place...

But the vivi definitely looks promising, i'll give that. But can the smoothness be completely translated into the game? I keep visualizing a slight distortion making some parts look more polygonal for some reason....

Minor fixes on the model. Also added a pair of boots. After this i'm probably going to develop both the vincent model and this one at the same time.

Any comments on how to improve this would be appreciated. :)

Thanks for the suggestion Leonhart7413 but since I'm still not one of the good modelers out there I want to take it kind of slow so I am creating a Vivi on a different new style different than the original. Start from simpler stuff and then go to more complicated. I'll keep in mind your suggestion and may make the original Vivi model at some point but for now I'm just playing around. I am aware that this project may be mostly disappointing but you have to start from somewhere :P

Anyways, updates on the model

Did minor fixes on the hands, gloves, legs clothing. Probably will finish it soon and move on to the Vincent project so that the real work will start :)
