I'm using XP and both versions 1.00 and 1.02 of FF7. Cetra 0.20 seems to do nothing, not even the music patch....
I tried using an older version of FFmusic I had lying around on my HDD. This version patched the exe directly, and works, but only with my GeFoce 3. If I try to use my Voodoo 5, I get a BSOD. does anyone have any ideas?

iirc, those didn't work with my voodoo 3, either. oh well, 3dfx is dead.

Actually, believe it or not, Darkness, the 1.09 3dfx driver set is being released at a site known as "3Dfx Underground".  Unfortuneately, since I'm not at my regular comp right now, and the site address used is non-standard, I'm unable to supply the address right now.

But still, this release is supposed to have some support for DX 8.1

And, Lord Kane, are you the same guy that's at the NGEmu.com Forums?

-edit-
Ok, I'm on my reguluar comp now.  The site's address is http://nat.mine.nu:81/3dfx/.  So, there's my proof! ;)

Yeah, I am Lord Kane from Emuforums. I'm using the 1.09 3DFX underground drivers at the moment, so that doesn't solve the problem. *sighs* I suppose I'll just have to stick with the midi music, or run it in the emulator.

Well, like I said, from what I know those are still in beta.  And, it seems that anything higher than the 1.03 driver set will have some sort of problem with FF7, at least it does on my V3.

So, just for the heck of it, try using the corresponding driver set for the V5, it might work then.

And, is it just me, or is it totally ironic that the Geforce is running it fine and the V5 is having problems?

It is ironic, as back in Win9x it was pretty much always the other way round.
I can't use any drivers lower than the ones I'm on... well I can, but I lose FSAA, and that kinda defeats the object of using my Voodoo 5. :P
I'll just wait until fice gets some time to update it  :)
