Tool to add dialogue [FF7]?
« on: 2013-12-18 00:54:14 »
Dear Qhimm forum,

I’m a new member, first time poster, and opening with a question about tools for FF7. Specifically: is there a dialogue editor out there that can add rounds of text to the game? That is, additional boxes/exchanges, not just additional text to existing dialogue boxes. I’ve looked at programs like Hack7 and Loveless but it’s unclear whether or not anything has this capability.

Like most of you I grew up with FF7, became obsessed, and now desire to help contemporize it. For me that’s all about the script. There’s a deep, original, and psychologically fascinating narrative buried in the game’s clunky dialogue and I want to unearth it—a task that would be a lot easier if I had more flexibility with a rewrite.

It’s so great to see all the noble effort put to keeping this classic alive. Many thanks to you all!
